Castiel had commissioned Dean to go freeze his ass of attempting to put up Christmas lights.
Dean held a bundle of light bulbs that had been strung together as Castiel came through the front door of their quaint little home. Holding two cups of cocoa, only taking occasional sips from one, Cas watched Dean climb up his little two-step ladder and begin hanging the lights, "Supervising" he called it.
"Cas," Dean called over his shoulder "Why don't you come help me with this?"
"Dean," he started "We both know this is a bad idea." but he still set the cups on the porch step as he walked towards his boyfriend.
Dean held his hand out, pulling Cas onto the step-ladder with him.
Dean handed the ball of lights to Cas, ordering him to untangle it as he constructed hooks for them on the roof.
Not even five minutes later Dean turned around to see that Cas had managed to ensnare himself in the mess of Christmas lights.
'He looks like a Christmas tree' Dean thought.
"Oh Cas," Dean sighed, chuckling to himself. "Here" he says, trying to get the Christmas lights off of Castiel.
"What the..." he started as he realized all he has accomplished is getting himself caught in the lights too.
"Umm..." Cas giggled at their close proximity.
"I'm uhh-" Dean blushed.
"It's o-" Cas tried.
"No it's fi-" Dean reached around Cas to find the end of the strand of lights.
"I-I'm just-" Cas stuttered.
"Wait-let me just-" Dean tugged on the lights.
"Dean."
"It's oka-"
"Dean." Cas put his hands on his boyfriend's chest.
"I'm um just-" Dean wobbled.
The boys fell to the powdery snow, laughing, still entangled.
"I love you" Dean whispered
"I love you, too" Cas presses a chaste kiss to Dean's nose.
"Cas," Dean starts.
"Yeah babe?"
"How the hell are we going to get out of this?"
The End. -Cele
