It was a bright sunny day in Resembool. Edward and Alphonse were playing in the field behind their house while their mother hung out the laundry. Al ran up the hill and hid behind her. "Brother and I are playing hide and seek. Don't tell him I'm here."

Trisha nodded and went back to the laundry trying her best to keep Alphonse hidden behind her. After a few minutes Edward came up the hill looking around as he walked. Trisha stifled a small laugh. "What are you looking for Edward?" She asked the boy.

Ed looked behind the clothes his mother had put up, not finding what he was looking for he growled in annoyance. "I'm looking for Al. Were playing hide and seek. I've looked everywhere and I can't find him!"

Trisha brought a finger to her lips and made a puzzled expression. "Did you check in the bushes?" Edward nodded. "What about by the river?" The young blond nodded again. Trisha faked a look of confusion and moved slightly to one side. Which reveled Al's shoes slightly. Ed saw this and looked at his mother who was still 'thinking.'

The blond grinned as an idea formed. "Maybe he's hiding by Winry's?" He asked his mother. She said a quiet "maybe" and Ed began moving his feet as if he were leaving. His steps got quieter and quieter until he stopped altogether. Ed got behind one of the sheets his mother had hung without a sound.

Al peeked his head from behind his mother and let out a breath he had been holding. Looking around not seeing Ed anywhere he began cautiously making his way to the 'safe' the boys had agreed on.

Before he could get very far though, Ed jumped from his hiding place and tackled the boy. Al looked up to see is brother sitting on his stomach smiling in triumph. "Brother, you cheated!" Al whined trying to get up. Ed didn't move.

"I did not! You were the one who cheated! You can't hide behind mom!" Ed yelled poking his little brother on the nose.

Alphonse swatted the hand away. "You never said that!" he younger yelled back.

"Well I am now!" Ed crossed his arms and stuck out his tongue. Trisha smiled as she watched them. Both so full of life and happiness. She wished moments like these never had to end.

"What do you guys say to having some lunch now?" She asked. The boys cheered and ran to the house. Yelling for her to hurry. She laughed telling them she was coming. How she really wished moments like these didn't have to end.

So how was it? Good, bad, so horrible you now what to scratch your eyes out with a stick? lol. But really, tell me what you think. Even if it's bad. Well, Ja ne!
