Disclaimer: I don't own Kingdom Hearts, I'm currently drooling over a picture of Demyx playing Guitar Hero, and this type of fanfic is way overdone. Do I care? No.

A/N: So… I had a weird dream about Demyx last night. I'll spare you the details, but I drew a picture of it. Just go to http:/ blackglass. webs. com (remove spaces), then take a left into the gallery, poke around in the Asuka's Drawings album, and voila! It's called "Dumb Blondes"; you can search for it.

Why Six is Afraid of Seven

"Hey Demyx, Zexion," Axel called to the other two Nobodies as he walked into the Grey Area.

Demyx and Zexion looked up from their argument over whether Xion was taller than Zexion or not simultaneously, both staring at Axel with wide eyes. "What?" Demyx asked.

"Go away, we were having a discussion," Zexion replied.

"It's okay, I couldn't understand half of the words he was using anyway," Demyx sighed. "What's up, Axel?"

Axel flopped down onto the couch between the blonde sitarist and the dark-haired bibliophile. He folded his hands behind his head and sighed, then finally told them what exactly he was there for. "I have a joke for you two," he proclaimed. "Why is six afraid of seven?"

"I'm not afraid of Saïx," Zexion muttered, sticking his nose in a book and deciding it was better not to pay attention to Axel. Ever.

"Why? Why?" Demyx asked.

"Because seven eight nine!" Axel replied.

Demyx's perky expression suddenly drooped into one of shock and horror. "Saïx… Saïx ATE me! I don't want to be eaten!"

"It's just a joke, Demyx," Zexion sighed.

At that moment, Saïx walked into the room. He seemed to be halfway insane at the moment, and Axel noted that it was probably a full moon. "Demyx…" Saïx growled, ready to tell the blonde off for completely forgetting his mission and playing sitar all day instead.

"Ahh! Don't eat me!" Demyx shouted, before running out the door.

Saïx looked between the two Nobodies remaining on the couch, and wasn't at all surprised when Zexion pointed a single finger at Axel and muttered, "he did it."
