Just a short one-shot. I have a list of prompts on my computer that I'm slowly going to work through. They're all going to be with Sam/Rachel/Puck/Santana. All depending on who I think fits it better. So they'll all be posted separately.

I own nothing. It all belongs to Brad, Ryan, Fox and Co. None of it is mine. All mistakes are my own though.

Reviews are appreicated, they really are.

I love seeing old couples. It makes me realize that actually someone can love you forever.

Since their break up, she had been sitting in the park staring out at the lake. She knew that she needed to go home soon, but at the same time, she couldn't bring herself to move from that spot. She'd taken the necklace he gave her off and it was currently at the bottom of her purse. She didn't want to be reminded of what had once been. At least not until she had to see him at school again on Monday, she'd have to see him then. She had expected it to happen, from the looks he gave the blonde, she knew that it was only a matter of time before he broke up with her and went back to Quinn. She had just kind of hoped she'd have him for a little longer.

The brunette must have been there for about thirty minutes when she heard someone clear their throat and she looked up to see a different blonde standing there and a tiny smile crept upon her face as she patted the space on the bench beside her. Her eyes remained on him and she laughed softly when he pulled his hand onto her head before sitting down beside her.

"You doing alright?" He questioned as he leant back on the bench looking out on the lake.

"I've had better days. How did you know I would be here?" Turning her head to face him, she couldn't help but wonder why he was out there beside her. They'd never really spoken a great deal and now he was sitting beside her asking how she was.

The blonde shrugged his shoulders as he pushed his hands into his jacket pockets. "Isn't this where all people come when they get their hearts broken?"

"You came here too?" Sliding along the bench slightly, she let her head rest against his shoulder, her gaze turning back to the lake in front of them. She knew it was getting late and she should probably head home soon, but she wasn't quite ready to leave Sam just yet.

"Yep. Nice just to forget about it all for a while."

They sat in silence for a while, just looking out at the lake and it wasn't until an old couple walked past them smiling that either of them moved. Rachel slowly sat up and Sam took her hand and squeezed it gently. "I love seeing old couples."

The brunette turned her head to looked at him curiously, unsure of where he was going with his statement, but there was something about the smile on his face as he watched the couple walk away that stopped her from saying anything and she just waited for him to say something else.

"It makes me realise that actually, someone can love you forever." The blonde turned his head back to Rachel and smiled softly at her. "You want a ride home? It's getting kinda dark and I don't want you walking."

Rachel returned the smile and stood up, not letting go of Sam's hand. He had a point, Finn wasn't her forever. He was just someone to push her in the right direction.
