She saw him, just out of the corner of her eye, leaving through the doors, leaving her, leaving the school all behind, because of what? Her sister that's what she ran off and made the grand entrance again and destroyed her, destroyed him, destroyed Phillip, that poor boy having to keep that secret all them months before it finally came out, but she couldn't run from it forever, as usual her sister had spoilt everything.
Rachel woke up with a shock, another bad dream, it was the fifth this week, groaning slightly, she slipped into her work clothes, picked her things up and left, 12 weeks, she had spent without him, one week she still missed him but knew he wasn't coming back to her.
There were some documents in front of her, Rachel picked one of them up, hoping to find a tricky student that needed to be sorted to distract her from the emptiness that was creeping up to her, Frowning a little, she discovered that there were none, she looked down at the document signature to find out what idiot hadn't done the filing properly, the document was instantly recognisable to her, from the date she realised it was from the last day he was going to leave her and Waterloo road.
All the memories of the pas six months of there loving relationship came flooding back to her, as if the break up, the heartbreak had happened yesterday, as if he'd left her in emptiness.
For some weeks Chris and herself had been conducting a rather hopeless and friendly Affair, their affair had been conducted in secret, in the toilets, the office and even the cars, but he had a wife, small children, a family something she never had or she never thought she was ever going to have, but for this ounce she wanted to be the one to have fun, to forget about everything, to be cared and loved for, but they both knew, it wasn't working they just wanted to make things better in there lives, to be the ones who didn't have to worry at all.
