There was one car left in the parking lot. The only light was coming from the blinking 'open' sign and the occasional strike of lightening. There sitting in the car was girl about the age of 16. She watched as her boyfriend or lover, or whatever you want to call him was in the convenient store. He made his way to the cashier and received a look from him because of his purchase. It's not everyday you see a man buying ones of these after all. The door chimed as he made his way to the drivers side of the car. He just got settled in the car when it started to slightly rain the storm was coming slowly, but it indeed coming. He turned on the car and he maneuvered the car on the winding roads that led to his house. Neither of them spoke, their thoughts were overcome by decisions and each other. The car turned right and they headed up the hill to his abandoned home. They stepped out of the car and he held her hand giving her a reassuring squeeze.
He opens the door and she enters the house, this is where they spent so many times together. There were memories at every corner. In the kitchen where they had shared so many quiet meals together. He handed her the plastic bag from the convenient store and she headed to the bathroom. She took it out of the box and carefully followed each direction. She set the timer on her watch and walked quietly into the living room. When she entered she saw him sitting on the couch. The expression on his face was content like he was concentrating. They had only been dating for 6 months, and it was secret dating at that. They had to show their love and devotion in private, away fro prying eyes and strange stares. She finally makes her way over to him and they sit in silence. She turns her head and lightly kisses him he envelopes her in his arms and they just sit there, not knowing what else to do.
The timer on her watch begins to beep and they get up and go to the bathroom. She looks at his eyes and she sees how excited he is. She opens the bathroom door there sitting on the counter is her future. She looks at the window and she takes in a sharp breath, it says positive. She faces him her tired sad eyes revealing the truth to him. She starts crying and sinking to the floor. He grabs her in his arms and helps her down, trying anyway he can to comfort her. He strokes her hair and kisses her cheeks, but it seems like all hope is gone. He promises he will be there for her and he will help her in every way he could. But she just looks at him and cries, "You're you and I'm just me, what are we gonna tell people?". The storm outside was worsening as she lay on the floor in his arms, while the storm inside was just beginning.
