March 14
Some miscreants have taken tokens off of Caesar's statues and were punished rightfully. Apparently they where unhappy with Pompey's death (though I support the Senate completely I can't truthfully say I liked the old man. He was a terribly boring man and grated on one's nerves quickly) and disliked Caesar. Speaking of him, Caesar has come home at long last, to (most of) Rome's happiness. While I am glad he is back, I worry for him. Cassius came up to me today while the people celebrated Caesar's arrival and flattered me (or at least tried to) so as to make me dislike Caesar. He urges me to help dismantle Caesar from his current position and I believe I will give in to him soon. When a soothsayer came up to him and warned him to beware tomorrow my worries became even more solidified. Caesar scoffed at the man- I fear his ego will play a role in his downfall.
