Fayt and Albel are cooking dinner and have an interesting conversation. I'm too lazy to write a more detailed description right now... I've had a long day.

Meeting Requirements
Albel carefully leaned against the wall outside Fayt's room, trying not to make any noise. He was walking by and had heard what Fayt was talking about. He was now determined to get the information he needed. One of Fayt's friends was visiting, and they were discussing what they both liked in a guy.
"Well, I guess I like a guy who's slightly taller than me, and no preference really on looks. Hopefully he'd be at least semi-attractive. Of course, a good personality is important. And he would have to respect me for me. And he would have to be within the age requirements. Any time I stray from that, only bad things happen. But other than that, I'm not too picky. How about you?"
"Well, I…"
These were the last words Albel heard as he sank into his thoughts, trying to determine whether or not he met Fayt's requirements. Well, he was definitely taller than Fayt and he definitely respected Fayt, but what about his personality, or his looks? And did he meet the age requirement. Of course there was a gap of 5 years between them, but it wasn't really that noticeable. Would that bother Fayt enough that he would not even consider him a candidate?
He would have to hear more about this when Fayt's friend left. Albel went back to his room and waited for it to be time to cook dinner. He knew it was Fayt's night, so he decided he would "help" while he got his answers.
Albel walked into the kitchen and just as he thought, Fayt was bustling around getting things ready. Fayt was surprised to see Albel walk in and offer to help, but dinner was complicated tonight. He could use the help.
While they prepared dinner, Fayt and Albel talked…
"Fayt, how young do you think is too young to date?" Albel hoped his question would not seem weird to Fayt. He wanted to be discreet to see if he was within Fayt's age requirements.
"Well, I guess every person is different. For me five years in either direction is okay, but more than that is a problem. For you it could be ten years. Only you can decide that. Although ten just seems like too much. It just depends on a lot of factors. Did you have someone in mind, or just wondering randomly?" Fayt was confused as to why Albel would even ask this.
"Well, yeah, I had someone in mind, but I don't know if they'd like me. What do you think is desirable about me?" Albel was getting closer to his answer.
"Well, you're very good looking, but you could certainly work on your manners a lot. Of course, without me knowing how old this person is I can't say whether they would be suitable. You still have some good qualities about you. You can trust people once you get to know them, and cautiousness is a good thing with how things are now. You are also really honest and fairly blunt, which can also be good things. I don't know. Take that how you want."
Albel was proud that Fayt had answered honestly and bluntly. He smiled. "So now that I know how you feel about me, I have everything I need. I just wanted to make sure that I was fulfilling all your requirements."
Fayt looked at Albel for a second before it hit him. "You mean I'm the one you like? I like you too, I just…" His sentence was cut off when Albel grabbed him and kissed him awkwardly. Fayt was shocked by Albel's kiss, but reciprocated. They broke the kiss when they could no longer breathe. Fayt and Albel finished cooking dinner in relative silence, both thinking about what the other had said. Mostly they were considering what to do about it now that they knew how they felt.
And to think that this drama had all come from a simple talk about meeting requirements.
Read and review please. :D
