A/N: I know that I haven't updated in a while but this popped into my head and I thought that I'd post it. :) I own nothing but the plot and little Eileen and Selene. Just a one-shot that I felt like writing. :D
Hermione Granger is afraid of a lot of things but the one thing that really scares her are: centitepedes. So, there she was, working in the kitchen fixing lunch when she came across a centitepede in the sink. She screamed and backed away until her back was pressed against the opposite wall.
Severus Snape is not afraid of centitepedes and teased his wife when she told him that the one thing that absoultly terrifies her are centitepedes. He was working in his private lab, in the basement of their two=story house that was on the outskirts of Hogsmeade that he heard his wife scream. Thinking the worst, he rushed upstairs to see what the cause of such destress. When he arrived in the kitchen, he found his wife on the opposite wall from the sink into which she was staring at with a fearful expresstion.
"Hermione, what's wrong? I heard you scream." Severus asked as he walked over to his wife. She turned her eyes to him and pointed to the sink. Severus furrowed he's eyebrow and walked over. He peered into the sink to see a centitpede. He smiled a small smiled and leviated the centitepede out the open kitchen window. He walked back over to his wife and hugged her 8th month pregant form to him. She layed her head on his chest and he rested his chin on her head.
"Is it gone?" She whispered. Severus nodded and held her tighter.
-3 years later-
A tiny, child scream resounded throughout the house. "Daddy!"
Severus shot up from the couch where he was sitting, grading second year essays and ran up the stairs to his three year old daughter's room. He found her standing on her bed, fearfully watching the corner.
"What's wrong, Eileen?" He asked, concered. She looked to her father, jumped off the bed and ran over, hugging his waist. Eileen had his jet black hair and her mother's cinnamon eyes and pale skin that's a cross between both.
"There's a worm with a billion legs in the corner." She whimpered, pointing to said corner. Severus went over to see this 'worm with a billion legs' and found a centitepede. He smiled and levitated it out the open window. He weat back over to Eileen and picked her up, setting her on his hip.
"That was a centitepede and you know what?" He asked. She shook her head, "Your mother's afraid of centitepedes, too." He smiled at her and carried her downstairs to the kitchen to fix her a sandwich. After she ate her sandwich, Hermione walked though the front door, back from her meeting with Minerva.
"Sev, I'm home!" She called though the house. A smile broke across both Severus's and Eileen's face. Eileen shot up from her chair and ran out the kitchen with a cheer of "Mommy!" Severus followed his daughter at a much slower pace and placed his arms around Hermione's shoulders.
"How are you?" He asked, rubbing his hand over her 6th month pregant belly. Hermione smiled at him.
"I'm wonderful and so is little Selene." She said, placing her hand over Severus's. Severus smiled and placed a kiss on Hermione's lips.
Yup, life for Severus and Hermione Snape are wonderful. They have a beautiful home, a precious daughter and another on the way and their love for each other would never fade. Life for the Snape's is a good one.
A/N: Yeah, it's sucky but I felt like writing this because I don't like centitepedes and Severus and Hermione make an awesome pair. Read and Review if you like.
