Elvengirl10: Hello everyone. This is my first Dragonlance fic/poem, so yeah, I hope you all like it. This poem is dedicated to Guar, I guy I met on my vacation and he inspired me through his poems, you probably get it. It's about that nameless black-robe that Raistlin talks about in War of the Twins. The one that opened the portal so that Takhisis could get out in full strength. So yeah, I'm going to stop rambling now and I hope you all enjoy this poem. Oh yeah, it makes sense to me but I don't know about you guys so, don't get mad if you can't figure it out.
I lie, silent, staring.
Gazing into the darkness of my room.
Awaiting the first moments of sleep to touch my eyes.
Awaiting that chance to once again travel.
To that realm.
To see her.
It descends.
I smile.
For I can see her now.
Awaiting me, calling me.
I go to her,
That dark temptress.
I lie with her.
I smile.
She smiles.
Then, it fades.
Like so many times before.
I sigh, I mutter.
Reluctant to get out of bed.
Wishing for sleep,
So that the vision can come again.
I dream it so often now.
I find myself unable to concentrate.
All I can think about is her.
My queen.
This night is different.
As we lie, I hear her voice.
Soft, silent, whispering.
Dark secrets.
A way to her plane.
A way to make my dream reality.
I listen.
I obey.
I go.
I find the portal.
I stare into the void.
My Queen lies within.
Waiting for me.
I open the portal.
I rush in.
I am spent but I care not.
I see her.
She comes to me.
Not as before, but as a warrior.
She moves past me, striking me down.
She passes through the portal.
I fall.
I cry out
But no one hears.
No one cares.
I lie alone.
The realisation comes.
I see my folly.
My desire, my infatuation.
They have doomed the world.
It is my fault.
I have unleashed an unfathomable evil.
I have doomed the world.
Death comes.
I welcome it.
For I have found freedom.
Freedom from my torment, my guilt.
Freedom from what is about to transpire.
Freedom in death.
Elvengirl10: there we go. I hope you all like it. Please review and tell me what you think, but no flames please.
