LATE NIGHT MEETING
Ginny slowly crept down the steps descending from the girls' dorm. It was nearing midnight and, luckily, the common room was deserted. The only sound was that of the dying fire. She wrapped Harry's borrowed Invisibility Cloak around her shoulders and climbed out the portrait hole. The corridors of the huge castle were quiet and seemed out of place without crowds of students making their way to classes. Now, she was the only one of two going to a designated classroom, as apposed to one of hundreds. She slowly stepped inside of the empty room and removed the cloak. Ginny made herself comfortable on one of the desks as she waited. Minutes had passed and the red-head was starting to get impatient. Ginny checked her watch yet again. 12:10.
'He better not have stood me up,' she thought to herself.
Giving him the benefit of a doubt, Ginny decided to wait a little longer. She began checking her watch obsessively as if looking at it would make him appear. Finally, the face read 12:20 and she let out a soft sigh. He wasn't coming, and she looked like a fool sitting here, waiting for him as if he would actually show up. How could she have been so daft to convince herself that he cared about her? Just as she was getting ready to get off the desk, the door opened. She let out a little squeal and immediately ran over to it, her anger dissipated just like that.
"Sorry," apologized the boy, his voice full of regret. "I had to wait for the last couple of people to leave the common room."
"I thought you'd stood me up," Ginny admitted, hugging the boy, needing to make sure he was really there.
"I would never do that, Ginny. I love you."
Ginny was unable to keep the smile off her face. Hearing those words come out of his mouth was the sweetest sound her ears had ever encountered. "I love you, too."
"So, does that mean you forgive me?"
Ginny sighed exaggeratedly. "I guess," she said with a smile at the blond haired boy.
She pushed herself up and pressed her lips to his in a passionate kiss. What would Ron and Harry think if they found out? She thought to herself. But as the kiss deepened, Ginny soon found out she didn't care.
The blond haired boy pulled away from the kiss.
"You're beautiful, Ginny Weasley," he said breathlessly.
Ginny smiled. "You're not so bad yourself, Draco Malfoy."
