WATER
tide moves in and out
pulled by their lady, the moon
(secrets, some bend blood)
AIR
saintly monk benders
freedom is their only creed
(teachings rule their lives)
EARTH
a solid people,
determined, immovable
(they've been corrupted)
FIRE
lightning sizzles air,
tyranny, insanity
(some still strive for good)

an: because everyone seems to think that there were three nice nations and one nation that was fracking evil. life isn't black and white - its all shades of grey.
shameless plugging: i got myself a fictionpress account! my username is stars shine out and i write lots of poetry there. if you care to check it out, awesome! if you think i should shut up, that's fine too! ;)
disclaimer: don't own avatar. even the idea of doing a haiku for each nation isn't unique.
