Guess who? It's me; Robin! I'm back! According to Sophie (who's sipping very hot coffee next to me at the moment), no one would have guessed...

Anyway, this time, instead of visions from the past, Alita has visions from the future. Thought I'd throw that in ;-)

Anyway, don't expect this to be updated anytime soon, unfortunantly. I'm currently working on a fic (OK, two) for my current movie obsession, Meet the Robinsons, and the stories are going very well. As soon as they're finished, you'll see an update, I swear! Hope you enjoy this!

Sophie, quit burning your tongue! I spelled that wrong didn't I?

Visions that Shape Adventure

Prologue

Alita's feet scrapped at the ground beneath her. From the hardness of the ground, she could tell that she was not running on the soft, dusty ground of Virginia, but stones in a distant land she had never seen.

Alita didn't know where she was. Everything was a blur as she ran on, headed towards an unknown destination. All she knew was that someone she knew and loved very much was in trouble…and she was the only one who could help them.

Alita stumbled, then pulled herself back to her feet.

Alita suddenly saw the shape of someone…someone she knew she knew, but she couldn't distinguish who she was looking at.

"Who are you?" Alita questioned. The shadowy figure moved, and suddenly Alita heard the voices of everyone she knew and loved – her father, her mother, her best friends Naomi, Retja, and Leilani, her grandfather, and her grandmother.

"Mama!" Alita called. "Retja, Leilani, Naomi! Daddy! Grandfather! Alsy!"

No one answered her. Alita could still hear them calling her, but she didn't know where they were or why they wouldn't answer her. She looked back at the shadowy figure, but he was gone.

"Something is about to happen, Alita." Alita heard her grandmother, Alsoomse, tell her. "And it's up to you to stop it."

"But what? What's going to happen?" Alita called back. "Alsy, please!"

Alsoomse appeared in her twelve-year-old form. "I don't know, Alita. Only you can find that out for yourself." She said. "Be careful."

With that, Alsy disappeared in a whirlwind of scarlet and gold leaves.

"Wait!" Alita called. "What's going to happen? Alsy – "

Twelve-year-old Alita sat up in bed, breathing hard. She looked around to make sure she was still in her room in Jamestown. She had had another vision.

"I wonder what this one means…" Alita wondered out loud.

Alita thought about it for a minute. Where had she been in the vision? She knew it had been a land she had never been to, she could tell by the hardness of the ground as she ran.

But where had she been?

The question plagued at Alita as she lay back down to go back to bed. What confused her even more were the voices of her friends and family. Was this vision prophesizing that something was about to happen, and the people she loved would be dependant on her?
