Chat Noir sits atop the Eiffel Tower, holding one knee to his chest. His arms are crossed over it. A tear falls down from one of his emerald eyes. He peers off into the moon and remembers how his mother would play Christmas songs on the piano with him. His small hands would glide along atop her slender fingers, following the notes. Everyone had somewhere to be on Christmas day and had family to share the warm memories with, except Chat. He had no one. His father didn't care much for Christmas ever since his mother disappeared. He let out a deep sigh.
He never even heard Ladybug walk up behind him. She could tell something was wrong. She had never seen him so upset. Her family had spent a lovely time eating dinner and opening gifts. She had spent all day trying to figure out the perfect gift for Chat… until she realized what he had wanted most of all, but seeing him this distraught broke something inside her.
He quickly wiped his eyes when he felt her plop down beside him. He looked over at her and gave his best fake smile. He didn't want her to know that he was broken.
"Oh, hey, Bugaboo." His smile didn't pass for a real one to her.
Ladybug suddenly wrapped her arms around him and his back bristled in surprise. "I have a gift for you, Chaton."
She smiles and stands up before backing up, so that she was in full view. "I know how you've always wanted to know who I am behind the mask… I should have told you years ago. I wanted to give you the best Christmas gift… so…" She gave him a sweet smile and a rose colored hue came over his cheeks.
"Tiki! Spots off!" A rush of pinks and reds glittered over her body before revealing a very familiar girl.
Chat looked at her and his mouth fell open. Words escaped him.
"I know it's not what you were expecting. But…" She twiddled her fingers together and peered down at them before meeting his eyes through her black bangs. "I hope you can accept me…" Her shoulders fell. " I'm clumsy and awkward… The real me is nothing like Ladybug."
Tears fell down Chat's cheeks and his fake smile melted into a true one. He stood up and walked towards her. She backed up in shock before her back hit a metal strut. "Marinette. Bugaboo? You-" His fingers brushed a loose strand of hair from her face. He leaned into her. "You are purrfect." He kissed her gently on her pouted lips. "Now, I think I should return the favor, Princess."
Her doe eyes looked at him in wonder and a blush formed on her cheeks.
"Plagg! Claws in!" A bright neon green glow washed over him revealing a very familiar boy.
Marinette's eyes widened in shock. Her hand fell over her mouth. Over the years, she had gotten more curious about who her kitty was. A part of her thought he may have been Adrien, but she had quickly shaken the idea off. She never expected to be right about it.
"I hope it's okay." He rubbed the back of his neck and looked off to the side. "I know it's not what you expected either. I'm sure. I'm always so poised and perfect and well be-"
Marinette cut off his words by grabbing his face and kissing him hard on the mouth. His eyes widened in shock and he melted against her lips and body.
She slowly opened her eyes after they parted. "Merry Christmas, Kitty."
