The night was all about her,

but in darkness she was not

For the stars around her burned

bright and hot.

3 white moons she counts in the vast violet sky

The stars which surround them,

cast up there so high.

Eons ago the stars of such beauty

Were taught to fly

And they flew to the heavens

To light up this sky.

Tonight they fall,

But this savior will answer their call

In the time which will come

Where the eternal night will end

With the coming of the Sun.

One by one, the stars are shooting

The owls are hooting

Over the head of the dreamer

Who climbed to the clouds

And walked through the gate

To greet her own fate.

There she sits on a cliff made of ice

Which casts over a scene so nice

An endless clear ocean as deep

As the dreams she sees in her sleep

She rests with her mess

Of an angel who came

Back to find her when she was less.

It was a strange man who'd brought her here

To a world far from her home.

But now she grins from ear to ear

For she can see the stars so bright

As they soar across the purple night.

And now the Doctor sees her eyes

Light up with joy at the sight

But he sighs

At this purple sky of the night

Years after the girl has left from his right

For her legend is carried on now

By the people who would as soon bow

At her knees for she could see

The way to end their bitter war

And now their people are free

So they cast her stars into the sky

A new constellation to see.

Their children all know what to call

The lady who wouldn't see their fall

And saved their world in the name

Of a strange man who came

And showed her the stars

Of him she had spoken so high

She said his box could fly

How odd a name she had

For this used-to-be lad

The Doctor

But now she is among them

She's with the stars that had shone

The night he took her to a world

Far from her own

The Doctor looks up at the sky

At her constellation held so high

His soft voices calls to her

"Oh, look at you
all bright up there among
the stars so young and new.
I miss you standing by my side
Aiding me in cracking
every unsolved case"

And at last he whispers with regret

"But I shant soon fret
I shant soon cry
For you are in the purple sky

As you are guiding me

With the shine

Of your starlight
And your starbright
My Clara Oswin Oswald."
