A/N: This story was inspired by the song Blue by Eiffel 65. Not only is this song really catchy, it has a cool message, in my opinion. It's all about how some people are completely content in living in their own little boxed up world, never daring to be different or unique. We get that from the chorus: If I was green I would die. It took me a while to realize that this could be a fanfic, so I'm writing it now to pass the time.

Basically: Be yourself, be different, be... 'green'.

Remy opened the front door and stepped out.

Listen up here's a story,
About a little guy that lives in a blue world,
And all day and all night and everything he sees,
Is just blue like him; inside and outside.

"Hold on, aren't you forgetting something?" said a soothing voice from across the room. Remy turned to his fiancé. She walked over and kissed him.

"I'll be home straight after work," he told her. She nodded and let him kiss her on the forehead. She watched him walk down the driveway and get into his blue corvette.

Blue's his house with a blue little window,
And a blue corvette,
And everything is blue for him and himself,
And everybody around,
'Cause he ain't got nobody to listen to.

Remy sighed heavily as he drove down his drive-way. He had a big house, a fiancé, a steady income to his great job... what else could he possibly need? Remy paid no attention to the lyrics of the song that came on the radio.

I'm blue, dab a dee da ba di,

If I was green I would die.

He couldn't help look over his life and wonder if he had done something wrong. What if he had done something differently? What if he hadn't been reunited with his real father and become a lawyer like his dad? Would he still be in the Thieves Guild? Would he still be dating Rogue? Rogue...

I have a blue house
With a blue window,
Blue is the colour I bought that I wear
Blue are the streets
And all the trees are too,
I have a girlfriend and she is so blue,
Blue are the people here
That walk around,
Blue like my car, it's sitting outside
Blue are the words that I say
And what I think...

That was so long ago, he didn't even use his powers anymore. He stopped at a red light. He shook his head, trying to shake the jumble of thoughts that were scrambling around his mind, trying to become actual sentences but failing, all made up of images and words. Suddenly he saw her face, was it her face? Could he even remember what Rogue looked like now?

...blue are the feelings,
That live inside me...

The big black car in front of him wouldn't move, even though the light turned green. Remy sighed, exasperated, and pushed down on the horn, hard. He made a hand motion towards the light. He saw the door of the truck open. As a girl with auburn hair stepped out, his eyes widened and a look of confusion spread across his face.

If I was green I would die...

"Look, buddy, you can honk your horn all you want, it won't make me go any freakin' fas..." The same look of confusion appeared on her face, which slowly turned into a sparkling smile.

If I was green I would die...

"Remy?" she grinned.

"R- Rogue?" he stuttered, almost incoherently. Her eyes stared down at him through the window of his car.

Her beautiful, green eyes.

A/N: The first chapter of a series, all your questions will be answered in the next chapter. Inspired by Peaceful Chaotic (totally stealin' your idea here, hun), each chapter will be a different song. You can suggest a song if you like, and make sure you review to tell me what you think!
