Song: Sunset in July. By: 311

Alfred watched Natalia's eyes widen in wonder as he pulled out of the large rows of tall buildings and the sun and bright rainbow colored sky was completely visible through the green trees and lush grass surrounding the pavement. He could tell she was anxious to get out of the car and experience the warm weather, gorgeous skies, and soft grass.

Alfred pulled off to the side of the road and Natalia was out the door before he could stop her. Her skirts tangled around her soft pale legs and her bare feet beat against the wet grass. Sparkling blue-purple eyes looked up to the sky that was a mixture of whites, pinks, reds, oranges, purples and blues. Alfred smiled and Natalia ran around the grass and skipped over rocks.

She spun around, her skirts flowing around her like water as her dainty feet flew across the ground. She finally stopped and ran over to Alfred. He simple smiled and starred up at the sunset on this merry July evening. Natalia quickly planted a kiss on his lips and began skipping around once again, laughing and dancing. Feeling more free and more open then she had since she was a child.

Alfred sat down against a tall tree and watched. Her overwhelming and uncharacteristically large amount of joy caused him to break into a smile as she frolicked through the grass and absorbed the warmth. Her heart beat in her chest and she wished she could steal all of this beauty so she could stare at it whenever she wanted and keep it all for herself. Her eyes almost brimmed with tears at the breathtaking, emerald surroundings.

The sky. It's what took her breath away. It didn't seem like it could be the same sky she had looked at every day of her life back in Belarus. No this one was colorful. Full of life. Like a painting or a famous artist's oil pastel work. Around the perfectly pale yellow snow pink and orange danced around the edges marrying with one another and flowing in and out of beams of yellow. Out side of that, red reflections on white cotton clouds complemented the purple and blue background so similar to the eyes starring up to it. There was no other way to describe it without using the word "perfect."

A plane flew over the sky, dragging a shadow across the ground and causing Natalia to smile even more. She turned back to Alfred with a grin,

"Can we stay?" She asked and only received a smile. Alfred stepped forward and placed his jacket down so the two could sit together and admire this sunset in July.
