A/N: I'm writing something on Victoria for the first time and apparently I am totally in love with my VicBourne. Therefore, this is a poetry series on them which has two parts as of now, one from the point of views of each of the leads.
The first part is set during the second episode and is as Lord Melbourne sees and deals with it and the second one is set after the third episode, after the confession, from Victoria's POV. Please do read and review and feel free to suggest if you have ideas for more poems you would like to read.
Disclaimer: All characters belong to the makers of Victoria. I own nothing.
DILEMMAS
Crumbled between the unabated loyalty i have earned,
And my dearest countrymen aided by their right to be governed,
An untamed, incorrigible heart full of fear,
I lay my head to rest amidst the books in tears.
A flighty young queen with a questionable sanity,
So says her old uncle and his vanity.
A conspiracy against the crown i perceive,
Yet unarmed and fallen am i or so i believe.
Feelings that weaken my very flesh and bones,
An audacious mind that misses the meals,
The unforgettable rides as the sun shone,
Never ending amicable conversations on the wheels.
A desire to detach myself for the greater good,
Dissociating myself from her majesty, i should
Yet as water skids down her infallibly formed eyes,
I run to redeem the joy that was lost, with a sigh.
A powerless prime minister, duty-bound,
While waiting for things to turn around,
The queen's trustworthy accomplice must return,
For that would satiate both while the opposition may burn.
