Sempiternal disintegration.

All powerful and merciful is the word.
Don't you see how that's absurd?
The only loving and forgiving one is me.
I am damned for this, all I have is me.

You said you loved me, but showed otherwise.
Would you like to tell me how that's wise?
Anyone would prefer the opposite,
To be shown love, but never speak it.

You won't go far the way you are, your world belongs to me.
I am the god of this world, this is apparent to you.
I offer them pleasure and I care for them, unlike you.
The one standing between humanity and happiness is you, not me.

When they realize you're simply the denial of life, they will despise you as I do.
It's funny, all I waned was to be loved back.
Now I spite your name, but not behind your back.
With that said, I hope you know; I used to love you too.

Author's Note: This poem is a watered down version of my poem "Desideratum". I like the concept more than the thing itself, but I thought it'd be easier to understand. Check out my other poem for something with more complexity. Cover picture is by FurAffinty user Klaufir.
