Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter, blah blah blah.
The third installment in my Harry Potter twnety truth's series. Since she's highest in my current poll, it's Bellatrix Lestrange's turn! Prepare for darkness and so on.
Enjoy!
1. From a very young age, Bellatrix habitually repressed her fear. Only the Dark Lord could bring it out of her as an adult, and she found herself fascinated by this.
2. One of her greatest fears is to be nothing.
3. It hurt much more then Bellatrix cared to admit when Andromeda eloped. So she poured her hurt into furthering her hatred of muggles. Of everything.
4. There was irony in how similar Bellatrix and Sirius were- both of them seemed destined to plummet over the edge.
5. Andromeda and Narcissa, as little girls, loved to fantasize about their weddings. Bellatrix's was so opposite to their fantasies, so lacking in any sentimentality or passion, that she couldn't help laughing to herself as she said, "I do."
6. Bellatrix has always considered herself the strongest of her siblings. But when Narcissa is pointing her wand at her, eyes wild with desperation, she is unnerved to realize that she is frightened.
7. Despite the fact he was the good son, the true Black, Bellatrix had always secretly held an unrelenting disdain for Regulus Black, and she couldn't explain why.
8. She considers Voldemort taking her with him as he fled the Ministry of Magic one of the most romantic things that has ever happened to her.
9. Although she took a sick satisfaction in watching the light leave her niece's eyes, there was a split second where Nymphadora Tonks looked startlingly like Andromeda.
10. She miscarried once at the age of sixteen. She never told her family.
11. Her insane laughter could send chills up anyone's spine. But silence unnerved Bellatrix more than anything else.
12. She refused to admit, even to herself, that it wasn't just that she mistrusted Snape, but she was so jealous of his position with the Dark Lord that it nearly burnt her inside.
13. She finds it eerie how much Draco looks like his father. Perhaps this is why she is also glad she has never had Rodolphus' children.
14. Something about the way the Dark Mark makes her eyes briefly glitter green makes her feel powerful and alive.
15. People always look strangely beautiful to her when they're being tortured- the way they throw their heads back and scream, as though in ecstasy. Torturing the mudblood girl proved to be no exception, which is possibly why Bellatrix feels curiously disappointed when it's suddenly over.
16. To her, coldness is familiar. It's heat that gets to her head.
17. Even she knows how perverse and disturbing it is, but she sometimes wonders what a Dementor's kiss would feel like.
18. Bellatrix lives for the Dark Lord, for the thrill of the hunt, to make an impure world clean.
But she still wants Narcissa to survive, if only because she knows that she herself won't.
19. In her duel with three schoolgirls, she contemplates how she would kill each of them. She would have started with the blood-traitor- cutting off all of her hair is the first thing that springs to mind, making her uglier and uglier before she dies. The mudblood would die how Bellatrix intended to kill her in the Manor.
She avoids thinking about how to kill the blonde. She isn't sure why.
20. The last thing she registers when she dies is Voldemort's scream of fury. She feels satisfied to know that she dies as his most faithful servant, that she died for him.
And that he will avenge her death.
As always, reviews are appreciated.
