Song: Let them be little-Lonestar

Jack Smiled down on to his 4 year old son Ryan. "Daddy I waz neber tat smoll" The dark haired boy said pointing to baby Lily in his mother's arms.
"You know bud you used to be so small that you could take a nap on my hand." Jack smile with enthusiasm.
"I waz?" Ryan asked tilting his head.
" Yes you were Ryan and now look at you you have changed so much. Before you know it you'll be as big as daddy" Sue smiled brightly.
"I canz waitz to be az bwig az daddy" he said throwing his arms up in the air.

I can remember when you fit in the palm of my hand
Felt so good in it, no bigger than a minute
How it amazes me, you're changing with every blink
Faster than a flower blooms they grow up all too soon

That night Jack and Sue lied in her bed. Ryan was asleep in between them. "He's gotten so big" Sue smiles peering down at her son. "I know" Jack smiled remembering the day Ryan was born. "And soon Lily will be that big" He said sadly looking over at his sleeping daughter.
"Why can't they stay little?"

So let them be little 'cause they're only that way for a while
Give them hope, give them praise, give them love every day
Let them cry, let them giggle, let them sleep in the middle
Oh just let them be little

2 weeks later the family lied snuggled on the couch on a rainy afternoon. Sue smiled when Ryan touched her face and gave her a big kiss.
" I wove you mommy" he smiled
"I love you too. baby" Ever since Ryan came things were seen in a different way it wasn't about the money any more it was that moment and Sue and Jack couldn't be happier.

I've never felt so much in one little tender touch
I live for those kisses, prayers and your wishes
Now that you're teaching me things only a child can see
Every night while we're on our knees all I ask is please

" Mommy!" Ryan yelled. Levi patted her leg. Sue ran to her Ryes room following Levi. she found Ryan on the floor crying and holding his head.
"whats wrong' Sue asked picking him u[p and checking over him for scraps and bumps.
"i fwell off ha bwed." Ryan said holding his head.
"Oh baby how does it feel."
"Iwt hwrts." He cried
"Ok lets go watch a movie and snuggle under Mr. Blankie." The child nodded As they sat there under the blanket Sue watched her son. The tears had gone he was now giggling at the movie

Let them be little 'cause they're only that way for a while
Give them hope, give them praise, give them love every day
Let them cry, let them giggle, let them sleep in the middle
Oh just let them be little

A year later and Sue and Jack stood in the window. Ryan had his baseball backpack on and was waving good bye as he boarded the bus to kindergarten. Sue lent into Jack needing support. Her little man had grown up.

So innocent, a precious soul, you turn around
It's time to let them go.

So let them be little 'cause they're only that way for a while
Give them hope, give them praise, give them love every day
Let them cry, let them giggle, let them sleep in the middle
Oh just let them be little

Promise me Lily that you'll never grow up." Sue smiled at the 1 year old.

Let them be little
