It's very hard to relate to you exactly what transpired that day. The only clear thing was that I was the one who got convicted for homicide, and also the one who will be put to death by our dear state government. So I think it's only fair that I write down as reasonably as possible what actually happened. Most people won't believe me of course, but it makes no difference; it will put my mind at ease. It occurred to me that this introduction sounds much like a story written by Edgar Allen Poe… but this is all true, and I am quite sane thank you very much. But anyway, here is what happened.

Most people don't realize about the supernatural. Things such as ghosts, vampires, and especially demons exist; it's just that they aren't that often revealed to the general public. But every so often there are reports of something out there, the Yeti, the Sasquatch, the Chupacabra, things like that. What happened to me and my two so-called "murder victims" was one of these rare occurrences, one where we found ourselves locked in a small-scale war with four very powerful demons.

The day started out very simply, the three of us awakening at various times of the morning. All of us arising to a startling site. The first thing I see at the foot of my bed is a seven-foot tall thing with its back turned towards me. Scales ran all down its back and arms, almost like a lizard. Its arms webbed to its body like wings. Talons and claws extended from the hands and feet, giving the thing a bird-like appearance. Did I mention it was also completely a shocking shade of blue? It was completely blue. A shocking shade of blue. I must say that it was a very disconcerting site for one just waking up, one that almost made me put my head back under the covers had I not been to afraid to move.

How does one go about at ridding one's self of a gigantic seven-foot demon standing at the foot of the bed? Well, the answer, strangely enough, simply involves jumping at it. I gathered my wits about me and rolled forward at the demon, springing upwards at the last minute, flying through the air, and landing on the floor in front of my wardrobe. Apparently the demon had disappeared. This made the whole idea of trying to kill it much simpler. Flustered, yet oddly satisfied, I stood up, dressed myself, and headed downstairs to perform my morning hygiene rituals, a.k.a. brushing my teeth and eating breakfast. I had friends to meet that morning: David, Billy, and Michelle, as well as my girl Kasie, were all meeting at Pennfield Middle School for some sort of carnival thing. I was also supposed to meet them there.

All the way over to this carnival, I was thinking excitingly of how I was going to tell them about my encounter this morning. I also thought of what they were going to reply with. Probably something along the lines of, "You need some sleep," or, "You need to give me whatever drugs you're on." As my dad's car rolled onto the pavement of the school, I threw open the door and had jumped out, yelling behind me," See ya later!" and took off sprinting towards the back of the school where the fair was supposed to be held.
