A/N: Quick Jott. Ashamed of writing it since I ship RoguexScott so hard, but it was too fluffy to resist.

Disclaimer: Nope.
Warning: Mention.

Morning

His mind awoke first. The gentle stirring of thoughts, the subtle questioning of how light it seemed to be outside of his eyelids, the way his body still seemed dead tired. And for a few long moments, Scott didn't move; he laid there, waiting to figure out if he wanted to attempt to get up or not.

And then he began slowly moving, rolling over towards the edge of the bed and reaching for the edge of the covers to cleanly peel them from his bare chest.

He truly dreaded the thought of getting up. Maybe it wasn't as light outside as he originally thought. What if it was still early? He could just curl up again and forget that consciousness had ever reared it's ugly head...

But if it was late, Logan would have his head for missing the morning's training session...

He almost considered opening his eyes-

His sunglasses slipped on his face, shielding the world from his blazing gaze. A smile crossed his countenance as his hand began to reach for Jean, knowing she was near. "Thanks, Jean." Because there were some mornings where he just wasn't thinking.

The young woman had already stepped out of the bed and was smiling down at him. "I think the ceiling is very happy that I'm here to keep an eye on you."

He cracked his own grin, opening one eye to see her leaning over him, tank top still hanging a little low from the night's endeavors. "I think so too."

She leaned down and pressed a kiss to his lips before moving towards the door. "By the way, you're supposed to be in the danger room in five minutes."

She was already out of the room when he fell over trying to pull on some pants.

No matter what sort of day the sun brought, Scott always loved mornings.
