Disclaimer: Bleach doesn't belong to me, it belongs to Kubo Tite.

Summary: Fatherhood isn't easy, but we'll learn together, step by step. Small family stories with Isshin and Ichigo. Please, enjoy them!

Author's note: Hey there! This is my first Bleach story in English, since I usually write in Spanish for the Bleach fandom to practice that language; but now I want to write in English again, so here I am. As the summary says, these are short stories about Isshin and Ichigo's relationship across time, and how I imagine it devoloped. There will be 15 stories from baby Ichigo to all grown up Ichigo. Yes, there are going to be couples, IsshinxMasaki and another one with Ichigo, but I'm not going to say anyhting, though, if you want, you can look in my profile and see which Bleach couples I ship or just look at my Avatar and you'll know xD. Also, if you'd rather read it in Spanish, I have the Spanish version, just look for it in my profile. I hope you like this first story and please tell me what you think about it, flames will not be accepted. Thanks for reading! See ya!

Story #1: My first-born.

Orange hair. The newborn's head was covered by fine and delicate orange hair, thing that surprised the child's father, who looked confused at the baby that was sleeping in his wife's arms.

"Is something the matter?" The doctor's wife, surprised by her husband's attitude, asked in a curious tone.

"Nothing, Masaki, is just that…" He doubted for some seconds, scratching the back of his head, until at last he decided to speak. "Why does he have orange hair? Every Kurosaki man has had black hair, like mine!" In a childish tone, the newly father exclaimed, jumping to his wife's side; yes, that was Kurosaki Isshin's typical behavior; the good thing was that Masaki was already used to it.

"I think he got it from my family's side." The woman answered, pointing at her own hair, which color was between orange and brown.

"Hmph…Well, leaving that aside, how are we going to name him? Isshin Junior?" With expecting eyes, the man said, looking straight at his baby.

"I don't know…it has to be a remarkable name, since I'm sure that he's going to make great things when he grows up." With a prophetic voice, Masaki said, caressing the kid's head.

"Yes, let's give him a remarkable name, because if he's like me, he'll surely make great things and he'll get himself in a lot of problems…" Isshin said, getting thoughtful, until he smiled with satisfaction when a brilliant idea got into his mind. "What do you think about the name Ichigo?"

"Ichigo?" Mrs. Kurosaki said. "Like the fruit? There's no way I'm naming my son like that!" Masaki said, frowning a little bit.

"No! Not like the fruit, with a different kanji that means `he who protects´. I think it suits him, what do you think, Masaki?" The physician explained, observing the changes on his wife's expressions: from irritation to surprise to understanding.

"He who protects…yeah, I like it, but will he like it?" The newly mother said, pointing at the child who had recently opened his eyes.

"I don't know…let's see…" He said, taking the baby in his arms, noticing that his son was staring at him. "What do you think little one? Would you like being named Ichigo?" He asked and the child gave him a crooked smile.

"I think he likes the name." Masaki said, laughing lightly as a proud smile covered her husband's face.

"Then you'll be Kurosaki Ichigo, my dear and beautiful first-born." Isshin said, kissing his son's small head, knowing that great things were waiting for the little child he had in his arms.

Yes, that was the beginning of an odd relationship between father and son, which would change as the years passed by.
