I've just finished the No. 6 series, and I don't understand how it was ranked so low on MyAnimeList. It's an amazingly touching story with enough adventure and action to get your heart racing. I'd never have expected NezuShi to be canon, I didn't think the producers would have the guts, but I'm pleasantly surprised. This pairing shot up to the top of my OTP list, and as expected, I'm alternating between both kiss scenes as my background image.

For now
Graceful, dancing touches caress the piano keys that bring alive an echo of tranquility. Yet the emotions of the melody are lost in the ravenette's sharp grey eyes focus on an imaginary distance, too far for Shion to reach. Anguish and anger are forever etched within those forceful grey orbs, and the white-haired male embraces those strong emotions for they are the building blocks of what Nezumi is. Shion's own self echoes in response to every twinge of pain from the taller male.
Red eyes glistens as they flicker from the pot of stew to the silent figure playing the piano. Might their relationship be the same as the bubbles which blossom out of nothing only to burst in a fruitless climax, or as Shion desperately wishes, something more? Something as strong as the red string of fate which binds lovers together through the good and the bad. However, for now, Shion knows that he needs to dilute the sadness that arises at the other end of the room.
Though the white-haired male makes an obvious attempt to sneak upon the pianist, Nezumi's mind is astray in a maze too complex to notice the unmistakable creaking on the hardwood floors behind. Feather-like and almost needy, Shion lays a light hand on the ravenette's shoulder. Having snapped out of it, a concerned Nezumi turns with questioning eyes to meet those of Shion. The melody does not pause as the white-haired male bends down and slips his arms around the taller male's torso. The melody continues for a short while before jumbling and going silent when Shion strokes one of Nezumi's hands. He begins with the wrist; his fingertips lightly trail further until those blunt nails, and proceeds to entwine his own fingers around the ravenette's. Nezumi's soft clench in response sends a sudden happy warmth spreading throughout Shion.
Smiling red eyes reaches worried grey ones as Shion leads Nezumi away from the piano and towards the forgotten stew, banishing those thoughts of sorrow.
