Corpse Bride, from Victor's perspective Happy halloween :)

Porcelain

Victor thought everyday of his fiancée, Victoria Everglot. She was just like a porcelain doll with her round cheeks, perfect smooth pale-pink skin, tiny doll-like nose and large eyes.
She was everything he dreamed of and more; and for once, he was happy that his parents, and her parents, had arranged this marriage between them. He hadn't expected to fall in love, with an arranged marriage, but unfortunately or fortunately, he had fallen in love at first sight of Victoria. She was so much sweeter and lovelier than he could have imagined too; nothing at all like her brash and greedy parents who only wanted Victor to marry their daughter out of convenience. Yet whereas, her parents were grubby, pushy people, Victoria had inherited none of her parent's temperament and she was as sweet and soft as gentle summer's breeze.
He had felt such a spark, and a privilege, to hold her tiny hand the first time they met.
Her wide, large eyes looked at him with such earnestness, before her small, petal-pink lips smirked in a tiny approving smile.
"Yes Victor," she had breathed. "I think I will like to marry you." And she gripped his hand gently with her own.
It was either at that moment, or the moment right before when he first saw her, that Victor Van Dort fell in love, irrevocably and completely, with Victoria Everglot.
"My fiancee."
.
Of course, then all that trouble with the 'Corpse Bride' happened after that, and he was sorry if Emily fell in love with him too...but well...as much as he cared for Emily, because she was the sweetest person too and kindest corpse bride he could have had...well...he just preferred his brides not-dead. Nothing personal. And of course, he was still completely and irrevocably in love with Victoria.
Such a shame though, for Emily. He did care for her too, in his way, and she never got to have her happy ending in her own life.
.
But he loved his porcelain doll first, foremost and always.
Victor and Victoria. Forever.

It always makes me a bit sad and teary-eyed for emily, because she couldn't have her dream wedding or ending ;'(
