Percy Weasley always felt like he had so much to make up for that he'd never be able to forgive himself. His family all said they forgave him but he never truly believed them how could they he was horrible to them. After the war he did a lot of international traveling updating other ministries on what had happened, how they were infiltrated and what new securities were put into place. It was on one such trip to Boston that he met Audrey she was working in the international liaison office. Audrey had graduated from the Salem Academy of Witches not to be confused with the Salem School of Sorcery. When they started dating Percy told her of the strain in his family in the years leading up to the war, she understood and transferred to Britain. A few years later when they had their first daughter it was Audrey that suggested they name her after Molly. Molly was perfect she was loving and kind like Audrey. She had Weasley hair with cascading curls and was always willing to help everyone. When they were expecting again it was Molly that named Lucy. She was an amazing big sister, very nurturing almost motherly. Lucy was very different from Molly. Even their hair was different Lucy's straight as a pin Molly's curly although the same color. Lucy always seems to try to prove herself, outdo everyone else. Even from a very young age Lucy was not content to be just another Weasley but to outshine the rest of them. Where most of the cousin favored George because of the WWW he always snuck them, Harry was her favorite she knew he was the one with the power in the family.
When Percy voiced these concerns to Audrey she assured him it was normal in a family that size that she would want to get more attention. Percy feared Lucy would repeat his mistakes in her youth searching to make a name for herself. When he received the letters from his girls after Lucy's sorting he wasn't comforted but even more concerned.
Daddy,
I can't believe it Lucy was sorted into Slytherin the first Weasley! She looked happy about it too, I guess it makes sense she's so ambitious. I tried to talk to her but she wouldn't even stop just half waved me off and walked towards the dungeons. Can't you have her resorted I mean Uncle Harry can do something right?
Love
Molly
Her letter had tear marks on it. Lucy's was not rolled and tied off like Molly's had been but in an envelope neatly folded.
Mother, Father,
Don't be too upset, I'm in Slytherin. I believe this is the house that best suits me. I am clever, cunning, and ambitious am I not? Molly looked like someone killed her owl. I couldn't talk to her tonight it may make me look weak. I have to stay on my toes here I'm looking for weakness as I write this. I'll see you for Christmas.
Lucy
As the years passed it became obvious to others just how different Molly and Lucy Weasley were. Molly was girl next door the one everyone wants their parents to meet. She had one serious relationship like her namesake she only gave her heart once, a very common Weasley woman trait. Lucy had several boyfriends none of them met her parents nor did she meet any of theirs. Where Molly dressed modestly and followed all the rules, Lucy's clothes left nothing to the imagination and she broke as many rules as Jamie, Freddy, and Louis combined. Lucy was everything Molly was not and vice versa, Molly worried about Lucy everyone did. There was no need Lucy eventually settled down with her soul mate she was extremely successful youngest ever chief warlock of the wizengamot and first witch to hold that position. Lucy made a name for herself that had nothing to do with her family's power or money and that was all she ever wanted being Slytherin is what got her there.
