It was a universally acknowledged fact that all Weasleys possessed red hair. Until a hot day in July when Ron was forced to clean his room. He had dived under the bed to find a mysterious bottle. He was five, and he liked food, so he instinctively put it in his mouth. He spat it out. So maybe it wasn't meant to be eaten?

He poured some on his hands and sniffed it. It wasn't a stink bomb either. He put his coated hands on the wall. The mysterious substance didn't do anything. Ron went downstairs to the bathroom and ran some water. He poured in some of the mysterious substance. Nothing happened. 'So it wasn't soap,' Ron reasoned.

He pattered down the stairs and into his older brother Percy's room. He poured some of the mysterious substance over Scabbers the rat, who squeaked with fright. Nothing happened. Scabbers seemed relieved. Ron wasn't. He wanted to find out what the mysterious substance did. He went over to Fred and George's room and poured some of the substance over Fred's bedspread. Nothing happened.

Ron wandered downstairs into the kitchen. Maybe it would be edible if it were put in food? Ron poured some of the substance on some cookies cooling on the counter. Nothing happened. Ron was upset. The mysterious substance didn't seem to do anything. So he went outside to play in the mud.

Ron needed a bath when he came back inside, as mud was splattered all over his clothing. Ron didn't like baths. Maybe the mysterious substance would clean him? He poured the remains over his head. Nothing happened. Ron just shrugged and headed upstairs.

He was heading past the twins room when he saw his favorite teddy bear. He reached over to get it. It turned into a giant spider. Ron started screaming his head off while Fred started laughing about sweet revenge. Their mother came upstairs, steam practically coming out of her ears.

"Who dyed the cookies blue?" she asked dangerously. Just then Percy came running down the stairs holding a blue Scabbers.

"Who did this to poor Scabbers!" wailed Percy, glaring at the twins.

"Why am I all blue?" asked George, who had just taken a bath.

"No, the better question is why is your hair blue," stated Fred. True enough, Ron's hair was blue. It seemed that the mysterious substance turned everything blue. It was then Ron noticed the spider was still there. He started screaming as his mom transformed the spider back into a bear.

"I hate spiders!" Ron cried, rushing up to his orange room with tiny blue handprints. Everyone glanced at George.

"It was Gred," stated George. Fred gulped. He should have known better not to put that bottle in Ron's room.
