Hayner vs. Seifer round one, Seifer always had the upper hand here—Hayner's hot head always caught him off track, it was his true weak point. He had almost had Seifer when he mention Olette going out with him, then Hayner snapped—he angry off hinged. Giving Seifer the perfect chance to bring him down, which Fuu would document and hold it OVER them for the next forever. Seifer vs. Hayner round two today was not his day—Hayner knew it and enjoyed his victory; all he had to do was mention Olette and the older boy was thrown off balance. Which Pence and Roxas document and enjoyed their sweet victory. Olette wasn't there.
Seifer walked away, frustrated—not that he had lost to those LAMERS, but that she wasn't there and it bothered him, that he was bothered in the first place. He ditched Fuu and Rai, because he didn't want them constantly pestering him, he would rather get beaten by Hayner for the rest of his life then let them know where he was going. He knocked on her door, standing out there feeling like a complete loser—what the hell was he supposed to say.
She came out, her hair tied back in a messy bun, sporting sweat pants and a shirt that was too big for her. She looked horrible; her genially happy face was not, a frown and red eyes—from crying.
"What do you want," she mumbled in a tone that would make Hayner proud, but her mumbling killed the affect.
He blinked, wondering that himself, she was a mess—he wanted to know why. "You weren't with your losers today."
She stared at him, long and hard—then motioning him in, walking away from the doorway. He followed her uneasily; he shouldn't be here—let alone in her house, obviously alone, especially not alone. Though it was better, he knew Olette's mother would run around telling everyone who could hear—which was something he didn't need. She sat down on her couch, making no room for him—so he sat awkwardly on a chair nearby; her eyes were glued on the television. Watching an old struggle tournament, but really not watching it—she was avoiding his gaze, avoiding him; she felt as uncomfortable as he did. He felt relief spread through him, he began to relax, and she sat up— now staring at him.
"What?"
"Why do you care?" She asked, more demanding then he was used to. It was a good question, Seifer wasn't sure himself—he knew her lack of presence had thrown him off balance. He knew that she loathed him as much as he loathed her friends, but he didn't honestly know why he cared. Or was there for that matter, he wanted to just get up and leave but he couldn't. It was like her gaze had glued him to the chair, he hated her for it.
"I—what's wrong with you," he challenged.
"Roxas broke up with me."
"Oh."
"Hayner told him to do it, because of what YOU said."
"Oh."
Olette vs. Seifer round one, Olette had the upper hand—she was a female something Seifer had trouble with and he caused her pain. It was his fault, his fault – Seifer went down only Olette wasn't enjoying victory, she sat on the couch staring at him. He lost the battle, but not the girl – she was still there broken, waiting for him to put her back together. Is that why she told him? Is that what she wanted him to do, is that what he wanted to do?
He kissed her, in one quick motion, he stood up and before she could protest and before he could think, he kissed her.
It was perfect.
"That's disgusting." Hayner said when he walked in, and Olette just smiled.
"It was very nice actually."
