Ah, warm sheets. How Karkat loved those. Even if he woke up repeatedly in the middle of the night, breathing heavily from some crack nightmare, the sheets and the covers and the blankets always made his calm down, snuggled up underneath soft things. Being held by his boyfriend had the same effect.

But Gamzee wasn't there beside him, as Karkat had then realized; he was completely alone in his bed and it was somewhat puzzling. Oh well, he was probably in the kitchen getting some water or something and he'd be back in less than a minute.

So Karkat pulled the blankets closer to himself and scrunched his body up a bit, shuddering slightly and smiling at the warmth. He could already feel that he was drifting back to sleep, enjoying the floaty, hypnotizing feeling of falling asleep. He was on the edge, his eyelids were closed, his breathing had slowed do-

WHAM!

Karkat's body launched three feet above the comforter from being startled and the slamming door behind his back. The fuck was going on?!

"HELL YEAH MOTHERFUCKERS," Gamzee yelled, marching around their bedroom in his boxers.

Karjat didn't know what in the name of hell was going on, and he was going to yell until he heard the airhorn.

Gamzee skipped about, laughing faux-insanely and honking his bike horn in one hand and blaring his airhorn in the other. He strutted to Karkat's side of the bed and smiled widely, honking the bike horn rapidly before his boyfriend ripped it out of his hands, glaring.

"What in the name of HOLY FUCKING CUMGUZZLERS do you think you're DOING?!" he scolded, clawing his hands and gritting his teeth.

"Karbro, it's the motherfuckin' first instance of two miraculous happenin's today! It's fuckin' time!"

"Time for what, exactly, you shitstain?!" Karkat fumed. "It is NOT time for anything!" He gestured to the clock on the bedside table. "It is fucking FOUR TWENTY IN THE-" Karkat paused and came to the sudden realization of why Gamzee had been celebrating at so early of an hour.

"Oh my god."

"Hahaaa, yep!" Gamzee chimed, standing up from his hunched position and running back to his side of the bed, jumping onto the mattress and blowing his horn, cheering, as Karkat held his face in his hands, asking himself sincerely, why him? Why did I fall for Gamzee? How is it that I am still here?

Gamzee suddenly stopped all his noise-making and pouted.

"Aww, it's over," he whined, setting his airhorn on the floor. He looked over to Karkat who was on his side, mumbling things that sounded angry into his hands.

Gamzee giggled and crawled to his boyfriend, resting his nose on the side of his neck.

"Sorry Karbrother," he said, chuckling a bit and climbing under the covers. He cuddled up to karkat and wrapped his arms around his torso.

"Fuck you, and never again," Karkat replied, sighing.

Gamzee just laughed lightly.

Karkat had forgotten that there were two times he could do this per day.

Later was when he could get out the confetti.
