Mark, holding his camera in his lap, lay on the couch staring at the ceiling. He was bored out of his skull and was trying to figure out something to do with all of his free time. All of his friends were already doing something or so he thought.

The phone ringing broke through his reverie.

"SPEEEEEEAK!"

"Mark!" the shrill diva's voice blared through the machine. "Mark! Pick up the phone now! It's an emergency!" Maureen's voice sounded panicky.

Mark leapt up and dashed for the phone. He snatched it up and gasped into it "What's wrong Mo? Is someone hurt?"

The line was quite for a minute and then, "I'm booooooored," Maureen whined.

Mark gapped at the phone. "You're bored?! That's all?! Fuck, Mo. It sounded like something was wrong."

"Oh. No I just am home by myself and I have nothing to do so I thought that I'd call you and talk." Maureen explained.

Mark sighed. He was bored. But was he bored enough to want to talk to Maureen for hours on end? Apparently.

"Well what do you want to talk about?" Mark asked taking the bait.

"What do you think would happen if you fed a cat spray cheese?" Maureen mused.

"Uhh…why do you want to know Mo?" Mark finally responded.

"Just wondering. I'm thinking about trying it out on the stray cat on our street. I just want to make sure that she won't get sick." She replied.

"Where are you going to get spray cheese?" Mark wondered. "You're broke."

"I know. I have my ways," Maureen replied. Mark could almost see her smiling through the phone. He shook his head.

"I think that the cat would probably get very hyper and start attacking the curtains," Mark thought aloud.

"Really?!" Maureen exclaimed.

"Probably not. But it sounds cool," Mark explained.

"Oh," Maureen sighed.

A long silence followed. It was finally broken by Maureen.

"Mooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo," she muttered.

"Did you just moo at me?" Mark asked confused.

"Mmhmm," she replied absentmindedly.

"Why?" he asked.

"Cause I'm still bored. You wanna go get drunk?" Maureen asked.

Mark considered this. On the one hand, it was 3:00 in the afternoon. On the other hand he had nothing better to do anyway.

"Why not?" he replied and they both hung up the phone.

A/N: Sorry that was a sucky ending but I am having some creative issues right now. I kept losing my train of thought. If I remember a better ending later then I'll go back and change it. I'm sorry for the wait on my other stories. I'll try to get them up soon.
