A/N: I don't see any need to warn people that this is slash. I mean, would you warn people that a guy kissed a girl? I DON'T THINK SO!!

Disclaimer: I actually don't own Lord of the Flies. I own a copy of LotF. It is very beat up with some very suggestive annotations. cough cough Sigh. The fun I have at my lunch table. :-D

The last thing I saw of Jack was his eyes. Those blue eyes, once so bright, were tired by the time we said goodbye. They didn't seem to fit in that face. His eyes used to sparkle all the time, especially when he sang. He always sang that annoying Kyrie when he thought no one was listening. Well, it was only annoying at first. It grew on me. I still find myself humming it, even after five years.

I see his eyes everywhere. I look into the sky and see his eyes. The sparkling waves of the ocean are Jack looking at me.

Those eyes are always with me. I see someone with red hair on the street and rush after him. I have not found him, but I still hope. Every night, I wish upon the first star I see: Star light, star bright. First star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight. I wish for Jack."

I always like to think that Simon's up there pushing Jack closer and closer to me.

As I walk to the bus stop today, I see a flash of red. My heart starts beating faster as I jog closer. I see more red in front of me. Rushing towards the boy, I reach out and take his elbow. He turns around, annoyed, but upon seeing my face, his eyes regain that familiar sparkle. As people move around us, we are frozen in time, looking into each other's eyes. I realize my heart still hasn't slowed down, and, if anything, it has gone completely insane with joy.

My hand on Jack's elbow slides down to his right hand, and our fingers entwine as we walk. Neither one of us knows where we're going, but we don't care. The only thing that matters is we've found each other again.
