The blonde sighed, rolling her eyes at the clock.
Fidgeting slightly, she glanced up at their teacher.
What is it she's talking about? she thought idly, glancing at her textbooks.
Philosophers of the seventeenth century . . . and that related to today how?
She didn't know – she didn't even know what half these people said.
There was no way philosophy would help her fly her plane.

She gritted her teeth as the second hand moved.
Was it just her, or was the clock moving slower?
Dispelling the thought, she glanced around the room, bored.
A slight smile came to her features as she caught sight of the blonde near the window. She noticed the sun hitting his hair, his hand flying across his paper, no doubt taking extensive notes. She shook her head slightly; naturally he'd end up with the best mark in the class again.
Guy Cecil; fontech obsessed and her best friend.
Unfortunately, he tended to leave her tongue tied just as much.
3:22
Eight more minutes . . .
Frowning, she placed her pen to the paper; hadn't the teacher just mentioned a test?
She was going to fail . . . she was definitely going to pull another all nighter . . .
She glanced back at the blonde male, a grin appearing on her features.
Guy would help her . . . she could persuade him . . .
Shaking her head, she glanced back at the old textbook.
Pulling the book closer to her, she couldn't help but scowl; all she had to do was focus . . . focus . . . focus . . .
"Noelle – aren't you coming?"
Jumping, the blonde slammed her knees against her desk, knocking her textbook to the ground. "You scared me," she laughed as he bent down to grab the book.
"You're just unobservant," he shrugged, leaning against her desk. "Let's go though."
Noelle blinked, looking at the clock.
3:32
She suppressed a grin, shaking her head instead.
"Yeah, I'm coming." she said, distracted as she shoved the texts roughly into her backpack. "'Sides, I'm going to need your help studying –"
Guy let out a laugh, pushing himself off her desk. "I see you weren't paying attention again – how're you even passing?"
Noelle glared at him, shouldering her bag. "And to think I was going to show you my new fontech for the Albiore."
The reaction she got was instant.
Guy paused in the doorframe, a grin slowly appearing on his features as he glanced over his shoulder at her. Noelle smirked at him as he let out a laugh before nodding. "Fine, in exchange for your fontech, I'll help you study – and I won't tell Jade how you mistreated your books."
Noelle grinned widely at him. "You're the best, Guy," she chirped, walking past him. "You have no idea how much I love you."
Guy shook his head, effortlessly catching up with her. "Love you too Noelle – man, I can't wait to see that fontech!"
Noelle sighed, her smile slipping into a frown momentarily. Shifting her backpack again, she glanced once more at the oblivious blonde. He didn't notice her blush stained cheeks every time they walked home, her laughter at everything he did or said or how her heart beat quicker in his presence . . .
No matter what Natalia or Anise said – Guy Cecil was oblivious.
Noelle could only smile as she followed him out of the school yard; maybe she'd have better luck tomorrow.
