A Psychopath Without His Heart

If you ever met young Jim Moriarty, he would tell you he didn't have a heart. He would claim to be untouchable, because he had nothing to lose but his life, which he didn't care about much anyway. None of this would be true.

Jim Moriarty did have a heart. A heart by the name of Claire Moriarty. He did care about someone, because as the rest of the world turned its back on him and called him an abnormality, his mother was always there telling him how much she loved him. According to her, Jim wasn't abnormal. He was just a special rarity in a sea of ordinary.

When it came to his mother, Jim had everything to lose because he cared about her too much to let anything happen to her, and he knew that if anything happened to him, Claire would hurt and suffer for her baby.

Jim Moriarty did have a heart, once upon a time. One that died the same night that Claire Moriarty was shot by a drunken teenager. Someone so ordinary.

A trial was held, but the corrupt judge easily let the young man go after being paid a generous amount of money by the boy's father. The day the boy was released with nothing more than a fine was the day Jim vowed revenge. Revenge on the corrupt police system, and on the world who had always rejected him. Most importantly, Jim vowed revenge on the teenage boy who had shot his mother, his heart. Without a heart, Jim Moriarty was someone to be feared, and Carl Powers would soon regret pulling the trigger that night he killed Claire Moriarty. After all, Jim was now nothing more than a psychopath without his heart.
