Ill was the mind of a certain cafe employee. A twisted heart, indeed.
As is common knowledge, twisted hearts breed incorrect emotions and with an ill mind comes the most sickly thoughts.
Such was the case for Toma, the certain cafe employee.
After a long day of work, he rested on a parkbench, subsequently irritated.
Lately, Waka was making them do street performances to attract costumers. He wouldn't have minded so much if heroine hadn't sprained her ankle.
They could be so inconsiderate sometimes. It's all fun and games until someone looses an eye and believe me, if there was another accident like this, you could bet someone would.
He let out a heavy sigh as he opened his phone, emailing her for the fifteenth time.
"Hey, it's Toma. Just checking up on you! DX!"
A few moments later.
"I'm fine, Toma. You don't have to worry. :-) ".
Just seeing her respond made him feel so much better like some heavy burden was lifted from his shoulders. Although, he wished he could hear her voice. He honestly wished he could stay with her and take care of her on her few days off but he knew Sawa was doing that.
How could he not worry? He got his ankle sprained once. It hcncncncnchchçhcnñc urt like heck.
He could hardly breath right or think straight and his head pounded for hours. Not to mention he couldn't run around and play.
Oh yah, he was nine when it happened.
For a moment, he allowed himself to drift down memory lane.
It was his ninth birthday and he and Shin got in a fight. He wasn't sure what it was but somehow, Shin pushed him down a rocky hill. On accident, of course. Apparently, he was nocked unconscious and Shin started crying. He suffered from a minor concussion and a badly sprained ankle and wouldn't leave the house for a few days.
But then Shin and Heroine came over. They brought candy, games and books. They even made a cake for him! Shin mainly helped out of silent apology whether he would admit it or not and Heroine was considerate, concerned and perfectly kind like she always was.
Quite suddenly, they made those three days amazing.
You could say that that was one of the best memories he had and even now, the nostalgia made him a little teary eyed.
It was now that Toma thought up a very healthy good thought.
It was things like that that helped ease physical pain and come to think of it, Heroine loved nostalgic things! It would make her day if he were to visit her, with something fun to do, just for old times sake. Now he wouldn't feel so useless in this whole thing.
But, to make the cake, he'd need help.
He then proceeded to dial a certain phone number.
"Hey, Shin! It's me, Toma. Look, I got an idea...".
Whatever is true, whatever us noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, what ever is
lovely, whatever is desirable, if anything is excellent, if anything is
praiseworthy, think about such things.
