Disclaimer: I do not own Burn Notice nor do I own Jeffrey Donovan, Gabrielle Anwar, or Michael B. Jordan (who played Corey).
I wrote this story with the idea from a prompt by Batya. This is my first story so read and review please!
This is set in the episode hot spot when Michael and Fiona meet Cory and his sister.
I finally agreed to help Cory and his sister and led them out of the loft. Which left me to deal with Fiona. "What was that about?" I asked her.
"What was what about?" She pretended not to know.
"Fi, I've never seen you act like that before."
"I just really want to help those kids Michael."
"For some Dolphin's tickets? Fi, you don't even like football!" I yelled at her.
"That's not it at all Michael! You'll never understand!" Fiona was frustrated that I wasn't getting it. "I understand exactly how that girl feels! That's why I want to help them!" She screamed at me and then laid on the bed and burst into tears.
"Fi, what are you talking about?" I asked, sitting down next to her and rubbing soothing circles on her back.
"It's nothing Michael, really." She assured me but I didn't buy it.
"Fi, What happened?" I implored. I really wanted to understand.
She sighed and looked at me. "I messed up a job once Michael!" She yelled sobbing at the same time. "I was trying to pickpocket this guy and he realized it so he hit me so hard I was knocked out. When I woke up I was in some basement somewhere chained to a bed. He told me that I deserved was I was getting. So he raped me. I was trapped there for a week until one day I broke the chain and ran away. I was never the same Michael! And that's why I want to help that girl because no girl deserves to go through what I did Michael, ok? I've never told anyone, I was too afraid. I just went back to work li8ke nothing had ever happened."
I wrapped my arms around her and soothed her. "Fi, it's ok. I understand, I promise we will help these kids. Just for you. Ok?" She looked up and nodded her head yes and then laid her head back down and sobbed more while I soothed her. "I will never tell anybody about what happened to you, ok? I promise. I will never treat you differently for it either." She lifted her head up and said nodded her head. Then she laid down next to me and fell asleep. I lay there awake for a while thinking of how awful that must have been for her. And I knew from then on this would always have to be our secret.
