I don't own anyone... unfortunately. All in Joe's POV because it's his birthday today! Happy 20th b-day Joe!

I tossed and turned in my bed, then woke up facing the ceiling. I stared up, facial expression blank. I mean, it's usually blank especially during classes..... but that's not the point. I got up

and looked at my calendar. August 15th: Mom and Dad's anniversary. We celebrated yesterday cause they are on vacation right now to celebrate. I sighed and walked over to the

bathroom. 20. Is it supposed to mean something? Anything at all? Besides the fact that's the age you become an adult. I washed my face and stared at the mirror, looking at my face

reflection. Same curly, black hair; Same dark brown eyes. I backed up, looking at my full-self wearing a black tank and PJ bottoms. Same body, except for the more developed arms. "Joe are

you in here? It's Nick, Kevin, Macy, and Stella." I walked out where my brothers, best friend, and super-fan were waiting by the drum-set. Kevin held out a plate with a chocolate cupcake

covered with dark blue frosting, green sprinkles, and a lit white candle in the center. I smiled and walked up, surprised Macy didn't pass out. Then again, she was getting better being

around us now. Except that she passed out when we were at the pool swimming. Our bad. "I can't believe you trusted Kevin with the cupcake, even though he might drop it again like the

other two cakes," I joked. "Well he is the cake giver, except on his birthday when we're it," Nick said, "But anyways, happy birthday bro." "Aw, thanks guys." Kevin put the plate down on

the table and we group hugged. No voice change. Still me. We all let go and they sang 'Happy Birthday'. A simple party, nothing big. "Make a wish birthday boy." A wish, many things to wish

for, but only one chance each year. I thought it over and then extinguished the candle, smoke rising to the ceiling. Stella grabbed a small rectangular box. "Thanks Estella." I smirked as she

handed me her gift. "No problem, Joseph Adam." I frowned, seeing she pulled the middle name card. "You know I'm just kidding Joe. Now open it up. I think you'll like it." I opened it up and

smiled. "A scarf, vest, skinny jeans, and shirt-" "Made by your stylist especially for you," Stella pointed out, "Happy birthday Joe." "Thanks Stella." I held out my hand and we did our famous

handshake from the hand-slap to the hand wiping. Macy got up and handed me a tallish round box. I held my arms out and gave her a bear hug. I'm surprised she didn't faint cause I'm in a

tank. I opened her gift and grinned the biggest smile I have ever done (if that was possible). "You got me a toy penguin," I exclaimed, cuddling it. I know, 20 and cuddling but it's a baby

penguin for crying out loud! "Well I know how much you like penguins so got you one," Macy replied, smiling, "I'm glad you like it." "Now come on and change bro," Kevin said, "We're going

to the roller-rink; our gift/treat." Everyone went downstairs, leaving me alone in the bedroom. I went over and slipped off my PJs and put on some black jeans. As I searched for a shirt, I

kept thinking, 'I still can't believe I'm 20. Not a teenager, but an adult.' Nothing changes that much, you stay the same person as you were when you were 19. I found shirt and put it on

before grabbing my sneakers. My wish, if you're wondering? I could've wished for anything, but the only thing I wish for is to stays the same. That and Macy, but let's save that for another

story okay. I didn't want to be 20, but I'm not staying a teen forever so might as well get used to it. As I went to the firepole, I smiled and thought, 'Maybe it won't be that bad.'
