Crossroads fic. Possible explanation later. I don't own Star Wars.
Shmi Skywalker was tending to her three-day-old baby when she heard a thump on the door. Already, she knew the person would be here to take her little boy away.
But she went to answer the door anyways. No-one ever refused a Sith.
There was a tall, hooded man at the door. He pushed past her with no words, headed for the cradle. The baby started to cry as soon as the door was opened, unintentionally giving himself away. Shmi rushed to her son, maternal instincts taking over. The Sith barged into the tiny bedroom and tried to take away the little boy from his mother's arms - and succeeded. He ignited his lightsaber and brought it down on the woman.
And the woman vanished before the energy beam could hit her.
The Sith pulled back, confused. Impossible! His target was gone!
A cry pulled him out of his anger, and he looked down. Never mind the mother.
He had his prize.
Yes, I know this is short. But I will start working on the first chapter right away! Review please, it would make my day.
