Any Office fans probably have heard that Steve Carrell aka Michael Scott will be leaving the show after this current, 7th, season. I have decided to make my own prediction of how Michael Scott, the world s greatest boss, will leave the show and what will happen after his departure. This is not a full episode, more of a summary of ideas for a few potential episodes, the end of the current season into the beginning of the next.

During the season finale episode Michael receives a call from his former girlfriend Holly. Holly was transferred to another Dunder Mifflin branch after corporate found out about her relationship with Michael. Since she had been gone, Holly had started to date someone and Michael had never been too happy about that. The chemistry that he and Holly shared was heart warming, they were really perfect for each other; being able to finish each other s jokes and connecting on a level that Michael never did with anyone else.

Holly called Michael because she has just broken up with the man she had been dating for 2 years. She is upset about the breakup, but realizes that it is not the end of the world because their relationship was nothing like what she had with Michael. Michael and Holly were the same person, meant to be together. She pleads with Michael that they should try things out again; this isn t a rebound thing, she feels that she should have tried harder with Michael before and the last 2 years had been a mistake. The problem is that they still live far apart, and are at different branches. Michael is rather stunned by her proposition and tells her he needs time to think this idea over. The episode ends with Michael knocking on her door, suitcases with him. He has moved and left Scranton to be with Holly, the woman with whom he connects.

Michael left the Scranton Dunder Mifflin Branch a farewell letter and video. For avid Office watchers, you can only imagine what the video says. Michael has appointed Jim as the new manager of the Office; Dwight is quite upset about this news because he is obviously the most fit for the job, more so than Michael ever was. It now becomes Dwight s mission to create situations for Jim that will make him look bad and make him fail at his job of regional manager.

I have watched all the seasons of the Office and it will be sad to see such a wonderful character like Michael leave the show. His character was entertaining and was certainly the world s best boss.

All of this is just a prediction; it will be interesting to see what actually happens during the season finale. Who knows I may be right.
