"Ugh," Natsuki groaned as she reclined on her sofa. "Politics suck."
It had been another grueling day of meetings and paperwork. She had not expected this amount of work when she agreed to become the headmistress of Guarderobe.
"I need a break."
She fiddled with her hair clip as she thought of things that could take her mind off of the Strategic Otome Limitations Talks. Of course, one thing led to another, and she found herself thinking of Shizuru. Words could not describe the amount of pain Natsuki felt as she remember that her one and only love was entombed in a case of solid rock. Her lover had become a fossil!
She sighed and decided to take a walk to ease her heart and mind. The fresh air would do her good.
The night was beautiful and cool rushes of wind teased her hair. As she meandered around the campus of Guarderobe, she realized that it was futile to try and "forget" Shizuru; at least for a moment. The stars shined brilliantly with one blue star standing out among the rest. If only I could dance under the star with her again, she thought as she remembered a time ages ago when she and Shizuru started seeing each other.
"1…2…3…4. Okay, good. Now just lean in a little closer," The older girl whispered to the younger.
"I just can't do it well like you, Shizuru-Oneesama!" The underclassman threw her hands into the air in frustration.
"Ara, Ara," Shizuru laid a comforting arm around Natsuki. "Just take your mind of the dance exam for a moment and pretend that you are only dancing for me."
Natsuki panicked. How could she possibly forget about the exam?! It was tomorrow and she was completely unprepared! She would never be as good a dancer as her roommate who seemed to have a natural talent for dancing.
Shizuru noticed the desperation in her eyes and motioned for the both of them to take a rest on a nearby bench. Natsuki reluctantly sat down. "Breath in and out slowly," Shizuru couldn't help but notice the cute way Natsuki obediently followed her every word. She could not resist the temptation anymore. Moving in slowly, Shizuru brushed up against Natsuki. She was so close to her. So close she could feel the warmth from her younger schoolmate's body. As Natsuki continued the breathing exercise, Shizuru stole a kiss.
After a few seconds Shizuru suggested that they start dancing practice again. "Now take your mind off the exam and only focus on me."
After the kiss, Nastuki could only think of her and the dance steps seemed to come naturally to her. It was as if she was meant to dance with this strikingly beautiful Oneesama. The exam seemed so insignificant now
Her lips were so warm that night. Nastuki leaned up against a railing and stared up at the stars. Her grief seemed to lessen.
