Peter's Visits
Peter Pan flew throughout London and looked for open windows. If there were children in their beds, he would go up to them and whisper dreams about him in their ears. He loved giving children wonderful dreams about him and Neverland. He did this often and delighted in it. Peter landed at his last stop for the night and saw three children, two boys and a girl, each in their own beds. He whispered dreams into each of their ears and left for home.
A week later Peter returned to London to whisper more dreams. On his way to Big Ben, he noticed that a nursery light was on. He remembered the nursery from last week and hid near the window with Tink trailing him. What he heard fascinated him.
The girl had long honey hair and sat on the floor with her two brothers. They sat expectantly as she began her story. It was about a girl named Cinderella who had a cruel stepmother and step sisters. She was forced to work for them and wanted nothing more than to go to the ball.
Wendy would have said more but a man burst in. "Children it is late. You must get some rest."
To Peter's fascination, a large dog with a bonnet on its head tucked the children in, and they soon fell asleep. Peter whispered dreams into their ears. Without thinking why, he decided that he would come here again and again. For now, he had to tell the story to his lost boys.
