The capitol shone glaringly as a gem early morning in August. Like all days in a city void of most vegetation, it was hot, but that day was especially so… Naturally so. As of recently the high officials had decided to try and return to the ancient roots of mankind. A sort of propaganda to get the wealthy of the capitol city, with their long sleeved heavy skirted fashions, to accent to the idea that their completely electric dependent lives were the best thing for the nation. Go without weather control systems? Go without comfort! Of course the plan will work; this city was built on the need for comfort. Looking across the dark paved streets, I could see the white collar workers heading for their offices, seeking reprieve from the baking sun. I smirked, noticing their refusal to so much as roll their sleeves up an inch. Wouldn't want to upset social quota, now would we? Like colorful beetles they scurried under shaded posts, and crevices, till finally reaching their destination: The blissful air conditioned office units.
