Hi everyone! I had to do this a project in school and since my teacher liked it, I thought I might as well post it here. I know it is super short!
DISCLAIMER: I do not own ROMEO & JULIET! (if I did there would be a happy ending!)
The Things that happened
I was right you know. Well, perhaps not everything I did was… Alright let's just say I was no saint. But still, I am convinced that I took the right choices at the right moments. For example fighting Tybalt. He was insulting Romeo like crazy! I mean what would you have done? Your worst enemy calling your best friend a… Everybody would have reacted that way! Really, the only thing I truly messed up was that I didn't kill Tybalt in the first place. Yeah, I guess that would have been a clever thing to do. Anyway, my point is, even if I hadn't responded to Tybalt's challenge, what difference would it have made?
The first option: Romeo would have cracked sooner or later, because not even his love for Juliet could keep any sane man from fighting back when he gets insulted like THAT. Or the second option (rather unlikely though, if you ask me): Nobody would have been killed, Juliet would have had to marry Paris and everything would have turned out just the same.
So you see my actions weren't all that stupid after all. And then we should also consider that the ending of this story is really not so bad. I mean, I'm in heaven (most importantly), my best friend Romeo's here to keep me company, Juliet is here to keep him "company", Tybalt is in hell where he belongs and, to you guys probably most important, the feud between Capulets and montagues has ended. You see, everything turned out for the best, just the way it did.
