Freefallin'
Hey everyone! I recently got some very good advice from an anonymous reviewer, so I have decided to fix the story. Not major changes, but a few minor ones. For those of you, who have read this story, see if you can spot them!
Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters in Tales of the Abyss. They belong to Namco/Bandai.

Ringggggggggggggggggggggg!
A hand reached out from under the covers and groped around, smacking the offending object to the floor. Noelle emerged from under her blankets, yawning. She sat up and stretched out her arms and legs, clenching and unclenching her fist. Smiling contentedly, she reached over the edge of her bed for her clock…
"Ohmygosh! I'm late!"
She shot out of bed like a rocket, grabbed her clothes, and hurriedly pulled them on, muttering all the while. She ran into her small kitchen, where a guy in a pilot suit was waiting. He turned around and smiled as she ran in.
"Morning, Noelle."
"Morning, Guy," Noelle answered hurriedly. With one hand, she snatched a slice of toast and took a big bite out of it, with the other hand, she hastily tied her scarf around her neck. Having tied her scarf securely, she poured a glass of juice and gulped it down,. Setting the glass in the sink, she turned around and started apologizing profusely.
"I'm really, really, really sorry, Guy! I took the Albiore V out for a test run yesterday, and didn't realize it was getting late until I looked at the sky. Then Spinoza wanted me to take Ginji to Sheridan to inspect the new engine for the latest model of the Albiore, and we didn't get back until very late last night. I'm very, very sorry!" A very embarrassed Noelle bowed very low as she finished. In front of her, brown boots moved toward her and stopped right in front of her. A hand lifted her chin up, and Noelle found herself gazing into the bright blue eyes of Guy Cecil. When he spoke, his voice was soft.
"Noelle, you're not late. Actually, you're early. Ten minutes early, to be exact. I just came over to see if you were awake or not."
"Oh…" Now she was at a loss for words. She blushed a bright pink and inwardly cursed herself.
How careless of me! How could I have set my alarm for the wrong time last night?! I'm such an idiot!
Guy's voice brought her out of her mental scolding.
"So since you're already up, do you want to go now?"
Noelle threw her arms around the blond pilot, startling him. After he had recovered from his shock, Guy smiled.
"I'll take that as a yes."
