My Quikie

Who had saved her? Katara had just got back from the fight, Azula had gone mad and lashed out at her eye and caught her unaware, Azula could have killed Katara if it were not for that guy, Katara was temporarily blinded by Azula's attack and didn't see the guy. All she was heard was...

"Don't touch my Quikie!"

And Azulas screams that faded into the night.

As Aang touched her hair he noticed that she was crying and avoiding his gaze.

"What's wrong?" he asked Katara

"Well Aang, I think you should sit down"

"Why, what's wrong, aren't you happy here, I have given you everything you wanted."

Katara paused, how could she possibly tell Aang the truth, sure the air temple was great and her and Aang were really good friends, but Katara could not help feeling like there was something else, something Aang couldn't give her.

True love.

Though that was not through lack of trying, Aang had been trying to make a move on her for a while, but Katara just ignored him, because through all his attempts, she had felt nothing but sadness, kind of as if Aang was her son and she desperately wanted to help him.

She realized at that moment, she could not tell him, it would be too painful to watch his reaction and although Katara was tough she was very afraid of what she was going to do, but she had no choice.

Boom! Crash! it was a lightning storm

Aang woke up with a shock and immediately knew what had happened; Katara had recently told him that her water bending had reached the point were the weather changed with her emotions.

It was the middle of the night and pouring with rain, it doesn't take much to work it out, she was gone.

He looked through the tower window and could she her shadow bouncing against the moonlight, making her way down the cliff, a tear escaped his eye. His gaze fell to a note on her bed

Dear Aang

I am very sorry, but I have to leave, I am not happy here.

At that moment he realized him and her were not meant to be, so he made his down the mountain and accompanying him was Oppa.

"Here, it will take you ages to get down this mountain without him," he said nearly bursting into tears as he handed her the reins.

"Goodbye," she whispered, in tears herself and then she fled into the moonlight

"Goodbye," he replied though it was obvious she could not hear him.

When Katara finally got off the mountain with Oppa she in quite a state, tears streaming from her eyes, she couldn't see where she was going and suddenly they were speeding downwards, she felt the impact of the crash, she felt the pain spread across her body, but she was not alone, she could feel warm hands on her cheek, she didn't care who it was. She was so upset

"I left him; I ran away, how could I have deserted him. How..."

She never finished that sentence for all she heard before she blocked out was the soft voice of Zuko she knew so well.

"Don't worry; I will save you my Quikie."
