Disclaimer: I don't own Spriggan/Striker. Sorry. Wish I did. It'd be cool to be able to draw that stuff. Meanwhile, this is a little humor fic I'm writing in preparation for a serious Spriggan fic. Teehee... Poor Yu. ^_^ Plan on Kurome showing up again in that fic, along with his aunt and cousins.

Ominae Yu glanced up from scribbling his homework down. The boy sat on a bench in a bus shelter, waiting for the bus to come and drop him off near the Arcam building. The reason he had glanced up was because another boy around his age had smacked him on the shoulder.

"What do you want, Kakono?" Yu inquired, looking back down and busily chewing on the eraser of his pencil.

"Hey! I just wanted to know where you were going," Kakono Kurome said, smiling.

"I'm going to work," the black-haired boy replied, erasing something and thinking deeply.

"Cool. Where do you work?" Kurome asked, leaning over his shoulder and looking at what Yu was writing.

"Um, McDonald's," he lied.

"Are you writing that speech for Yamamura-sensei? I finished mine." Yu was grateful for his friend's short attention span.

"Yeah. Why are you here?" he asked. He balled the paper up and threw it into the trashcan in the corner. The ball whirled around the rim a couple times and dropped out on the side. Yu reached over and picked it up.

"I'm waiting for my aunt to get here. Otousan says I have to show her around the town. Her and my damn cousin," Kurome grumbled.

"I see." The black-haired boy stood up and slid his notebook into his bookbag as the bus pulled up. "Later."

"Bye, Ominae!" Kurome waved and lay down on the bench in his place.

On the bus, a little girl leaned over his shoulder and looked at what he was writing.

"Whatcha doin'?" she squeaked.

"Homework," he said. He tore out another page and balled it up, hurling it toward the front. This time, the paper landed in the trashcan at the front of the bus.

"I'll ask you not to do that again!" the driver snapped. Yu leaned back in his seat, chewing on his pencil again.

"What kind of homework?" the little girl asked, poking him in the back of the head.

"Ow! Stop! It's for an English class I take," Yu said, briefly glaring at her and then returning to his work.

"That class must be boring."

"Yes, it is. Please be quiet," he said, slightly irritated. He chewed the eraser again and spit out little rubber chunks.

"Okay! Hey, why is the grass green?"

"It just is," he growled, increasingly annoyed.

"I bet that's not true," the little girl snapped.

"Go and ask your mother! I have work to do!" Yu snapped back, moving to the back of the bus. The little girl cried, and quite fakely, might I add.

"Hey, buddy... Psst... Wanna buy a watch?" the tall, dark man beside him whispered. He ripped his coat open. Yu covered his eyes.

"Gyah! There are laws against indecent exposure, man!" Yu barked, shielding them until the man wrapped his coat back around himself.

"I just need you to buy a watch, boy!"

"I have one, thanks."

"They're digital watches! Many people on Earth wear them."

"...Douglas Adams reference?"

"Yup." The man nodded ashamedly.

"I don't need a digital watch! I need to get this speech done before tomorrow!" the young Spriggan shouted. The people on the bus turned to stare at Yu like he was crazy.

"Whoa, calm down, dude. I'm sorry."

"Thank you!" The boy suddenly got an idea in his head and started writing his speech quickly, before he had no more pencil (he had chewed it down and it was kind of gross to hold).

AN: Okay, that was short and pointless. ^_^;;;;; Poor Ominae can't get enough peace to get his homework done. Anyway, this was going to be the beginning of my serious Spriggan fic, but then I decided to make it funny. ^_^ IM me at LBelleChan if you're interested in hearing about the serious fic!
