This is my first story on FF. :3 Reviews would be lovely. I'm not sure where I'm going to go with this at certain parts as it is still in the works...The narration will eventually switch over to Asia's point of view. I hope you like it!
**July 14th, 2014:**
Hello readers! Long time no talk; I hope you're all well. You're probably wondering – "Why the hell did I get an alert for this story? It's been finished for a while!"
Well, I've mentioned doing some renovations on this work, once or twice over the course of my two stories. As most of you remember, my writing skills were incredibly poor in 2010 when I began this story. So I'm going back through each chapter of this story and fixing some mistakes, addressing plot holes, adding things that the FF editor cut off, etc…

CHAPTER 1
On the evening of October 31st, 1981, a 4 year old by the name of Anastasia Black was taken into protection by the Ministry of Magic, and then moved into the temporary care of Albus Dumbledore.
The Ministry, and remaining members of the Order of the Phoenix (an organization which her parents were a part of), assumed that the child would be safest with the wizard. Though the Dark Lord had been vanquished just hours before, many feared that his loyal Death Eaters would hunt Anastasia down.
She was the last hope they had had, even with their leader gone.
While the child stayed with the old wizard, the Order deliberating who would take guardianship over her. After all, Anastasia Black was no ordinary child. She needed a guardian who could keep her safe from the world around her. She needed someone who would help her develop her powers properly.
Her godfather, Remus Lupin, pleaded with the Order to let him take care of her. After all, he did have a good relationship with his goddaughter; Asia absolutely adored her Uncle Remus. They had one strong parallel; they were both different from everyone else. With the exception of Audrey of course…
"Audrey…" Remus thought, shaking his head in disbelief.
He was already in a fragile state with the death of the woman he loved most, and now three of his friends were gone. Sirius and Peter were missing, and he had feared the worst. Molly Weasley had told Remus earlier in the evening that Sirius left Audrey a week ago, he couldn't fathom it. Remus was hoping that Sirius would burst through the door any moment, partially so he could hug him and partially so he could hit him. He couldn't handle not knowing what had happened to him, why did he leave his family behind?
With all of this confusion, Asia was only concrete person that he had left of his tiny makeshift family.
And then Order turned Remus down, he could feel his heart shattering for a second time in less than 24 hours. Dumbledore sympathetically stated that though Remus would be a more than fit guardian, his condition would endanger the welfare of his goddaughter.
A risk that could not be taken as she was vital to the ultimate demise of the Dark Lord. After spending the whole night debating and arguing over whom would take on the responsibility of the small child, they finally came to their conclusion...Severus Snape.
Severus Snape…of all of the people in the room, they picked Severus Snape?
"YOU'VE GOT TO BE JOKING ME ALBUS!" Remus roared, slamming his hand on the table. "HE HATES SIRIUS, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THAT HE'LL TREAT ANASTASIA ANY DIFFERENT! AND WHAT IF SHE LOSES CONTROL OF HER EMOTIONS?"
To be honest, Severus was probably not going to acknowledge the fact that Asia was the spawn of his most hated enemy, Sirius Black. The girl was an exact replica of her mother, there didn't seem to be a trace of Black genetics in her.
Her mother, Audrey, was a gorgeous woman, she had black hair that went just below her shoulders, and green eyes. When Audrey lost control of her emotions, the very earth beneath her shook. Like her mother, the small girl had powers over the earth. When she was angry, the ground would shake and tear open. When she was upset or sad not only would the ground shake, rocks and dirt would fly, and if she happened to be near water the waves would be over 100 feet. Like her mother, Anastasia was considered a dark creature.
Dumbledore smiled calmly at the angry man and said "Remus, I place 100% confidence in Severus, he will take care of Anastasia well, and he knows how to deal with the dark arts and dark creatures."
"He knows how to kill them, not help them." Remus replied curtly, glaring at the wizard. Severus Snape claimed to be a spy for the Order, but Remus never trusted him.
Arthur Weasley cleared his throat "Albus, are you sure about this? He is our spy, but I don't think that he's really cut out to handle a child! Where will the girl go when Severus is working with the Death Eaters?"
"She will go with her godfather, Arthur, except when there is a full moon." said Dumbledore.
Remus sighed, cradling his head in his hands. "Its better than nothing, I suppose."
Just then, the door creaked open and in walked the man of the hour, Severus Snape.
Dumbledore clapped his hands together "Ah Severus! Good to see you! Now may I ask that the rest of you leave me alone with Severus for a few moments? I need to speak privately with him."
The Order members left one by one, Remus being the last, glaring at Severus before he closed the door.
