Potter and Weasley
"Mama, tell me 'nother story!" The little boy said, snuggled in his pajamas and looking up at his mom with wide eyes.
"Another one?" Ginny exclaimed, tucking her long red hair behind her ears.
"'Nother one!" Her son giggled, clapping his hands. Sighing and smiling fondly, Ginny nodded, not being one to deny her son the finer things in life.
"Well, you see, a few years ago at a school named Hogwarts, there were these two Gryffindors named Potter, and Weasley. They were almost inseperable, always hanging out together and having great adventures."
"What kinda adventures, Mama?" The little boy cooed again, snuggling into his bedclothes.
"Hush now, or you won't get to hear them. Potter and Weasley were sometimes joined on their adventures by Granger, who was the cleverest witch of her class. After a while, even Weasley's little sister began to help them out. They had the best adventures. One time, Potter and Weasley helped to save Granger from a mountain troll. An evil professor."
"Evil? Like Professor Snape?" the little boy asked.
"No, this one was far more evil than Professor Snape. This one had You- Know-Who living inside of him. But this evil professor had let the troll in to try and steal the Sorceror's Stone. Luckily, Potter and Weasley stopped the troll, and then went on to save the stone from that Evil Professor. Weasley played the best game of chess Hogwarts had ever seen, and even Granger was involved. She solved a complicated riddle to help Potter advance - and finally, Potter's deepest desire was to save the stone, and he did."
"Wow. Mama, tell me more!!!"
"Well, then there was the year that the Triwizard Tournament took place. Potter was one of the champions, and when he was given a truth serum he was asked what he would miss the most. He answered "Weasley". So Weasley was taken away, and put under a spell and held captive by the merfolk. Granger was also taken captive. Potter had to save both Weasley, but when he got to the merfolk, he saw Granger and two others in trouble there. He fought the best he could, trying to save all of them, but then others showed up to save Granger and another witch named Cho. Then Potter saved the other two and brought them to the surface."
"Wow. Mama, did you know Potter an' Weasley?"
"Yes, dear, I did." Ginny smiled slightly, before ruffling her son's shock of bright red hair. "You know them too."
"Wow! I do!" Ginny nodded and smiled brighter, giving her son time to think. "Mama?"
"Yes?"
"Before you married Daddy, wasn't your last name Weasley?"
Ginny giggled, before nodding. "It was."
"An' you're the younger sister!" Her son sat up in bed, beaming. Ginny simply nodded, smoothing her hand along his head.
"And Weasley was your Uncle Ron." Ginny murmured, placing a kiss on her son's forehead.
"Uncle Ron? Really? Was Aunt Hermione the cleverest witch?"
"Of course. She is awfully smart, isn't she?"
"Yeah! So's David."
"Mmhmm. Your cousin is very smart too." Ginny tucked the blankets up around her son's shoulders, and kissed his forehead again. "It's time for bed dear."
"But one more question Mama. If Uncle Ron was Weasley. wouldn't that make Daddy Potter?" He murmured, his voice getting sleepy.
"Do you know of any others named Harry Potter?" Ginny grinned, before murmuring a soft "Nox" to distinguish the lights.
"Wow. David an' I are gonna be Potter an' Weasley when we get to Hogwarts.." The little boy's eyes drifted shut, and Ginny smiled.
"Good night, James." She said, before closing the door. Leaning her head against it, she frowned. "And Goddess Bright, I hope not." She murmured.
"Hope not what, Love?" Startling emerald eyes caught hers, and Ginny smiled.
"Nothing Harry. Nothing at all."
