Before we begin our meeting I would like to bring it to your attention that secret member number fifteen is not here today. I will investigate this matter secretly after the meeting to find the reason for his or her absence.
Also before we begin, we have three new secret members. Will you please stand?
New members, upon entering you have already sworn an oath of secrecy, have you not?
Good, you will be secret member number twenty four, secret member number twenty five, and secret member number twenty six.
Now let the meeting begin.
We have approximately seventeen minutes until sunrise. Due to our limited amount of time, our procedures will need to be condensed. We will postpone our secret joys and concerns and secret news until the next meeting. It will be held on a secret date. We will not have unsocial brake today.
Are there any objections?
Good. During the time we have together, we will choose a new name for our secret society, and you will be given a new identity member to further insure your secrecy.
The list of your identity change is being passed around. Remember your new number, but do not write it down or speak it out loud. If you do, you will have to pay a secret consequence.
Our name will change also. We will still be secretly known to non-members as the Secret Society; however you should know that we call ourselves by another name. If you forget our previous title, then I cannot tell you, for I am sworn to secrecy.
Have any of you come up with a new name? You are not sworn to secrecy until you have shared your suggestion.
No? Your duty for the next meeting is to come up with a new name or pay a secret consequence.
Before we leave, I must inform you that our secrecy has almost been lost. Last meeting you all left at once. People became suspicious of this large group leaving my cabin. This time I will dismiss you in groups of two or three to ensure our secrecy.
Secret member number nine, secret member number eighteen, and secret member number-
"Jack, what are you doing?" Will stood at the door of Jack's cabin.
Jack froze. He had two bottles of rum in his arms, one labeled nine, and the other eighteen. He had his hand on number six, ready to remove it from the circle of rum bottles in which he stood in the center.
Will walked over to Jack and eyed him suspiciously.
"You made a secret society out of rum bottles," He stated.
"I… wanted to make sure nobody drinks them," Jack smiled, but it faded quickly.
"The bottles are empty."
"Number fifteen is empty," corrected Jack, picking up the bottle. "Only one absence."
"No," said Will. He took number nine from Jack, and popped the lid open. "Two absences." He took a long swig, and then left the cabin.
Secret member number nine has been abducted. I will negotiate his return, as well as search for the whereabouts of secret member number fifteen. I will see you at our next meeting.
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
