One Life

Chapter 1

Naruto Uzumaki stared out of apartment window and wondered what he was going to do about his current predicament. You see , Naruto Uzumaki found himself in a situation that most teenage boys did not find themselves in. Actually if one wanted to think about it, most males had never before experienced what he was going through. Gnawing on his lip nervously, Naruto almost wished that Sasuke would hurry up and get here, he wasn't sure how much longer he could wait. Although he wasn't a hundred percent certain that anything was wrong, Naruto just knew that he didn't feel quiet right and since the incident that had occurred between him and his teammate Naruto hadn't felt right. He only assumed that it was because of what happened. If he was honest he was afraid to go to Lady Tsunade about it, because who knew what the old hag would say. She didn't mind letting Naruto know when he was making the wrong decision, but this situation wasn't any of her business and he didn't really want her to find out about it. Naruto was capable of making his own bad decisions on his own. Which was probably how he had ended up in this mess to begin with.

Sighing, Naruto turned away from the window and began pacing across the room. Back and forth from the window to the kitchen counter, he paced. The longer he waited the more nervous he grew. He had sent a message requesting the Uchiha to meet him at Naruto's apartment but so far the black haired teenager had yet to show up. Which made Naruto wonder if Sasuke-Teme was going to bother coming at all. Which would really be just great, because Naruto had a serious matter to discuss with his teammate, and it wasn't one that Naruto wanted to deal with on his own. He really would like Sasuke's input but at this point Naruto should start looking at what his options would be if Sasuke didn't show up.

Even the thought of taking on this situation by itself made Naruto's stomach twist violently and he had to swallow hard to keep the bile really didn't need to get sick right then, what if Sasuke showed up and Naruto couldn't answer the door. Groaning, Naruto glanced at the clock on his wall, he had sent that message hours ago and Sasuke hadn't bothered responding so it was safe to say that he wasn't coming. Which meant that Naruto was going to have to go to the appointment by himself.

Twenty minutes later, Naruto found himself sitting in the waiting room at the local clinic. Naruto's foot bounced up and down. Iruka sat beside him, quietly reading a magazine. Naruto had asked Iruka to come with him, because he really hadn't wanted to come alone. When Naruto had shown up on Iruka's doorstep, he hadn't been thinking about what Iruka would think about him. Instead he thought of the support that Iruka would give him without Naruto having to ask. He was gateful that Iruka chose not to see him as the demon of Konoha, but a shinobi of the Leaf.

Naruto hadn't exactly told Iruka what was going on, only that he wasn't feeling well, and if Iruka wouldn't mind sitting with him. Then Naruto would gladly accept the other man's presence at the doctors office. It wasn't that Naruto feared the doctor, he feared how the people would react to him being there, with Iruka being there Naruto knew that Iruka could keep him calm in a tense situation.

"Calm down Naruto." Iruka said, reaching over and stilling Naruto's bounching leg with his hand. "You don't have anything to worry about, it's probably just a virus of some sort."

"But I've never been sick before in my life." Naruto protested quietly. "I don't know why I would be getting sick now."

"There is a first time for everything." Iruka said, though truth be told he was puzzled as well. Jinchuuriki didn't typically get sick, so what other reason could there be for Naruto's symptoms.

"Have you had sex recently?" Iruka asked the fourteen year old boy, causing the blonde to flush.

"What does that have to do with anything?" Naruto asked, his face flushing bright red.

"Everything." Iruka whispered. "Jinchuurki have the ability to get pregnant whether they are male or female." Iruka kept his eyes on Naruto's face, noticing how quickly Naruto dropped his gaze to the floor and avoided Iruka's question. Something had happened, Iruka just didn't know what. Which made Iruka wonder if it was a possibility that Naruto was pregnant and just didn't want to say anything. Naruto would know that Iruka didn't approve of him being sexually active at such a young age, which would be a good reason for the blonde boy's current vow of silence.

"Are you?" Iruka started to ask if Naruto was pregnant when the doctor called Naruto's name. Naruto shrugged in reply to Iruka's unasked question, he didn't really want to admit to something like that. Besides Naruto didn't really want to remember how it felt for Sasuke to have buried himself deep within Naruto, so deep that Naruto felt that it could have touched his soul. Iruka really didn't need to know about that little experience. If Naruto was honest that moment between him and Sasuke had started because they had both gotten a little high after returning from a mission with a couple broken bones. Naturally Naruto healed fast and didn't really need the pain medication that Lady Tsunade had given him enough pain medication to keep him knocked out in the bed. Tsunade had only done so because she knew that neither Sasuke nor Naruto would stay in bed and allow their injuries to heal properly. Both boys had gotten high off of the medication and being room together Sasuke had made the statement about wondering what it was like to be with another guy. Naruto, of course, had had a crush on Sasuke for forever and decided that if Sasuke was willing Naruto would take him up on his offer. One thing led to another and before Naruto realized it Sasuke had fucked the life out of Naruto, both boys had fallen asleep after that.

When Sasuke had woken up and had realized what he had done, he had been beyond pissed. He had yelled at Naruto for encouraging the mistake to happen to begin. Sasuke had also accused Naruto of being the reason he was in the hospital to begin with so the entire situation was Naruto's fault.

Naruto had been released a few hours later after Tsunade determined that it wasn't a good idea after all to allow Naruto to room with Sasuke. Naruto had ended up leaving the hospital and going straight home, he hadn't left his apartment for four days straight.

After that things had become strained between the two boys, and Naruto noticed that Sasuke was hanging out with Sakura more than he bothered with Naruto anymore. Naruto didn't think it was possible to be hurt over Sasuke's actions than he currently was.

Even now at the doctors Sasuke's words "No one could ever love someone like you!"Shaking his head, Naruto tried to forget the harsh words of his teammate. Sasuke couldn't possibly know how much Naruto struggled with that belief, he couldn't know that Naruto felt that statement was true right down to his soul. He struggled with believing that he would ever be worth anything to anyone, no matter how hard he tried to protect them. Sasuke must have somehow sensed that and played on Naruto's biggest fear just to get the blonde boy to leave him alone.

"Earth to Naruto!" Iruka's voice interrupted Naruto's thoughts. Naruto looked up from the floor to find himself staring up at the examination room door. Naruto flushed bright red as he realized the nurse and Iruka were both waiting for him to enter the room.

"I'm sorry, I have a lot on my mind." Naruto said as he hurried into the room. He hadn't meant for his thoughts to run away with him like that.

"It's okay, it happens to the best of us." the nurse replied sweetly as Naruto entered the room and walked over to the bed and climbed on and sat down.

"What's going on with you today?" The nurse asked as she proceeded to press a thermometer against Naruto's forehead taking his temperature.

"I haven't been feeling well lately." Naruto started, looking down at the floor. "I think there is something wrong with my stomach."

"What do you mean?" The nurse asked, patiently.

"I've been vomiting in the mornings." Naruto said slowly. "I thought it was a virus but I've been getting sick everyday, and sometimes the sickness lasts all day long."

"Have you been sexually active?" the nurse asked and once again Naruto's face turned bright red and he nodded.

"Just one time. I didn't think anything could happen the first time." Naruto said, avoiding Iruka's eyes.

"You can get pregnant the first time." The nurse said gently. "And with you being a Jinchuuriki, you can get pregnant any time."

"Is that what's wrong with me?" Naruto asked. He was starting to wonder if perhaps he would have been better off coming to this appointment alone. He knew Iruka wasn't going to be pleased with him.

"Probably. I'm going to do an ultrasound just to make sure." the nurse said. "If you will just lay back on the bed and raise your shirt. I will see if you have a magical bean growing." Naruto nodded and lay back on the bed, already he was feeling deeply ashamed of himself. He knew Iruka wouldn't be too pleased about whatever they found out.

"I'm going to go get the machine." The nurse said. "So just make yourself comfortable." Naruto nodded and turned his eyes to the ceiling, and silently began counting the tiles.

"Naruto, do you realize what you've done?" Iruka asked quietly once the nurse had left the room. "Do you realize that you've made your hard life even harder?" Naruto blinked back the tears he felt welling in his eyes. He hated when anyone was disappointed in him. It made him feel like he was lower than dirt. It wasn't a good feeling to have.

"I know." Naruto started but Iruka interrupted.

"No. I don't think you know. How are you going to raise a child when you are still a child yourself? You won't be able to take it on missions with you? and I doubt you would find anyone willing to watch a child of a Jinchuuriki."

"If you're aim is to make me feel bad." Naruto stated softly. "Congratulations you succeeded."

"I'm not trying to do that." Iruka said gently, "I'm trying to make you think about what your actions and the consequences of said actions. Not to mention how the villagers will treat it. You think how they abuse you is bad, I imagine it will be worse for a child." Naruto closed his eyes unable to hold back the sobs anymore. He understood that because he was unwanted by the villagers that his child would be even more unwanted.

"I truly hope you aren't pregnant." Iruka murmured. "Because that would be the end of your ninja career and any future you hope to have." Naruto didn't say anything just quietly sobbed, the tears streaking down his face as he waited for the nurse to return.

When she did, she frowned at the sobbing blonde on the bed, and glanced over at the brown haired man who was sitting silently with a guilty look on his face. He looked helpless as to how to make the boy stop crying.

"It's going to be okay." the nurse told Naruto gently as she wheeled the ultrasound machine over to the bed. Once the machine was set up, she raised Naruto's shirt and spread the cold jelly on Naruto's stomach, the blonde shivered at the sensation, before she placed the wand on Naruto's stomach and began slowly moving it across Naruto's stomach.

"There it is." she murmured, and pointed out a tiny bean like shape on the screen. Just the sight of the tiny being made Naruto burst into tears again. His life as Iruka had put it was over.

"It's not the end of the world you know." the nurse said. "There are options if you don't want the child."

"Like what?" a red eyed Naruto asked.

"Like adoption." The nurse said. "Or..."

"No one will want a child that came from me." Naruto said bitterly.

"Or there's abortion." the nurse said. "It would be a painful process, but you wouldn't have to worry about anything. When you know what you're going to do make an appointment with the front desk." The nurse said kindly as she helped Naruto sit up and pull his shirt down, before leaving the room.

"I'm disappointed, Naruto." Iruka said, unknowingly making the blonde feel even more shame for what had happened between him and Sasuke. "I don't even have the words to express just how disappointed I am."

"I'm sorry." Naruto whispered as he climbed off the bed.

"Sorry's not going to fix the fact that that child's life is going to be pure hell." Iruka replied. "I really thought you had more sense than that." Without saying another word, Iruka turned and left the room, leaving a broken hearted, unsure of himself, Naruto standing in the room. He hadn't wanted things to turn out like this. Even as he stood there he knew there was only one way to prevent an innocent child from suffering as he had. He hated the idea but if everyone was going to be as disappointed in him as Iruka was then what choice did Naruto have? He couldn't raise the child on his own, and he wasn't about to let the Sasuke-bastard know because he probably wouldn't even believe Naruto either. So with red rimmed eyes, Naruto knew exactly what he was going to do as he exited the clinic.

Back at his apartment Naruto proceeded to back a bag, he would have to let Lady Tsunade know that he was leaving the village for a few days, but since he had some leave anyways he figured she wouldn't have a problem with it.

As Naruto was stuffing clothes into his bag, he heard a pounding on the door. Frowning, Naruto dropped his bag to the floor and headed to the door. upon opening the door he found Lady Tsunade and Shizune standing in front of him.

"Iruka told us about your situation." Tsunade said. "What the hell were you thinking?"

"I wasn't." Naruto answered meekly dropping his gaze to the floor. "I was going to ask for a few days off to think about things."

"Granted. You know the council will want it terminated don't you?" Tsunade asked. "And as Hokage I will have no choice but to comply with their wishes."

"It's my child." Naruto whispered. "They don't have the right to decide what to do with my child."

"It's either it get terminated or they will use him or her as a weapon." Tsunade said.

"You want me to get an abortion?" Naruto asked, he couldn't help but feel like everyone was coming against him. Sure maybe the pregnancy wasn't such a good idea right now, but did everyone have to jump on the kill the innocent child boat?

"Not necessarily." Tsunade said. "I think it would be a good idea for you to go somewhere until the birth. Then without telling anyone the origin of the child put it up for adoption."

"You don't think I can take care of it?" Naruto asked, his voice colored with hurt. Did everyone really think he was that incapable of caring for someone else?

"It's not that." Tsunade said. "It's just the position that you are in as the Jinchuuriki, as it is the villagers don't trust you, they don't seem to think you would be able to raise a child. And another thing you're only fourteen years old, you shouldn't even be sexually active yet, you don't need to be raising a baby on your own."

"Can I take a couple days to think about it? Naruto asked. He knew Tsunade wasn't really giving him a choice, it was pretty clear that her plan was take the child as soon as it was born.

"You don't have long." Tsunade warned. "As a Jinchuuriki your pregnancy will be shorter than most." Naruto could almost see the wheels in her head turning as she quickly made plans for the unborn child. There was no doubt that Tsunade was making plans to somehow use the baby. Naruto sighed, he knew if he told her that he wanted an abortion that she would do it, but at the same time Naruto could see her try and talk him out of it.

"Would I be able to see the child once it was born?" Naruto asked.

"No. You would have no rights to the child." Tsunade replied. "The moment you give birth it will be handed over to the goverenment."

"That's not fair." Naruto said. "Do I get any say in anything that happens?"

"No." Tsunade said. "You don't. Iruka was right, you didn't even consider what you would put a child through."

"Enough." Naruto whispered, "I get that I made a mistake."

"You truly did, and now the child will pay for the rest of it's life." Tsunade replied. "It was pretty selfish of you to not even consider what could happen."

"It's not like I knew what could happen, no one ever told me that Jinchuuriki's could get pregnant." Naruto said.

"It's something that you would have been told when you were old enough to actullay partake in such activities." Tsunade replied.

"Whatever." Naruto murmured. "If you're done now you can leave. I want to leave the village for a few days."

"When you get back, we're going to dicuss what will be done with the child." Tsunade said. Naruto shrugged, refusing to meet her eyes. She didn't know it, but she had lost Naruto's respect in that moment.

Once they were gone, Naruto shut the door behind them and finally allowed his tears to fall. His heart ached with the decision that had already been made. He wasn't going to allow Konoha elders or villagers to treat his unborn child like they treated him. Despite what Iruka or Tsunade thought Naruto could make the best decision possible for his child, which at this point was to not allow anyone to use his child.

Sighing, Naruto allowed his tears to fall for a few more minutes, his tears wouldn't fix this situation, and he had the feeling that he would shed many more tears before the end was reached. But he could get through this, he could prove everyone wrong, he would prove them wrong.

Thirty minutes later Naruto was packed up and heading to the village gates. He thought about telling Iruka and Kakashi that he was going to be gone for a few days, but then he thought about the previous conversation with Iruka and he quickly changed his mind. He didn't need the reminder of what a disappointment he was. Naruto wondered what they would think if they knew that Sasuke was the father, would they be so willing to want to control it then? Would they want to use the child as a weapon even then?

"I'm sorry." Naruto murmured as he looked down at his stomach. "I wish things didn't have to be like this, but I can't allow them to use you. I don't want your life to be anything like mine. The villagers still hate me, you don't deserve that. I hope one day when we meet that you understand why I had to do what I am about to do." Naruto wished deep down that he would have been able to keep the child. That the adults in his life didn't think that the child would be something to be controlled.

Naruto nodded at the guards before exiting the gates and starting towards the next village over. Naruto supposed he could have gotten the operation done in Konoha but he didn't want anyone to know about it just yet. Naruto couldn't even explain how deeply ashamed he was of the whole mess, of course to make matters even worse Sasuke didn't even know about it. Naruto supposed that the situation would be even worse if he did know, Naruto could see Sasuke calling him a freak. Would things ever get better for Naruto?

Naruto reached the village a few hours later, and he made his way to the abortion clinic. With a heavy heart Naruto entered the building and walked up to the front desk. After filling out the paperwork, Naruto sat down and stared at the floor. He supposed the operation would be a little more different for him since he was a male, he knew they would likely actually cut him open to remove the fetus. It made Naruto sick to think about , he didn't want to go through with it but he would do anything to keep the child out of Konoha's clutches.

Thirty minutes later Naruto was led back to a room, glancing around at the dirty surfaces he wondered if it was even sanitary to have the operation done here. Still, he couldn't exactly go back to Konoha the same way that he had left it. Sighing, Naruto climbed up onto the table and sat down and waited for the doctor.

Five minutes later a mna with snake like features entered the room, and offered Naruto a small smile.

"I'm Dr. Orochimaru." the man introduced himself. "I understand that you have a problem that you want to go away." Naruto wouldn't put it exactly like that but he nodded.

"I can do the procedure now if that's what you want." Orochimaru said, Naruto nodded. He wasn't exactly sure how this was supposed to work so he would just go with whatever the doctor said.

"If you'll lay back." Orochimaru said. "I'll have my assistant bring the sedative and we will get the little parasite out of you." Naruto nodded and lay back on the bed, he was starting to feel a little uncomfortable about the situation, but he didn't know what to do about it.

"Kabuto if you will bring the sedative, we will begin." Orochimaru called and another man with glasses hurried into the room, carrying a syringe. He handed the syringe to Orochimaru who immediately inserted the syringe into Naruto's arm and released the medication into Naruto's arm.

Without bothering to wait for the medication to take affect, Orochimaru raised Naruto's shirt and grabbed his scaple and raised Naruto's shirt, before making a cut along Naruto's stomach, ignoring the blonde boy's cry of pain. When the cut was wide enough, Orochimaru had Kabuto hold open the area and Orochimaru reached inside with the scaple and cut into the womb until he could see the tiny fetus. When he was able to reach it, Orochimaru sliced through the umbilical cord reached in and took the fetus in his hand quickly removing it, before quickly sewing up Narutuo's stomach, not bothering to suture the womb that he had cut the fetus out of.

Tears were streaming down Naruto's face as waves of agony tore through him.

"The problem has been removed." Orochimaru stated harshly. "So kindly remove yourself from the premises."

"But it hurts." Naruto wailed, his fourteen year old self wishing that he had someone with him. He wished that Iruka could have been there, at least then he would have made sure that Naruto had been taken care of properly.

"Out." Orochimaru replied, gripping Naruto's arm tightly and pulling him up roughly, causing tbe boy to cry out again. Tears gushed down Naruto's face, as he slowly started making his way to the door.

Naruto wasn't sure how he did it, but he managed to make it mack to Konoha, and when he did he didn't bother checking in with Tsunade, choosing to go to his apartment instead.

Once he reached his apartment, Naruto dropped his back on the floor and made his way to his bed. As he lowered himself to his bed, he grimaced at the amount of pain that he was in. Something told him that the man hadn't exactly been operating a legal abortion clinic, because Naruto was certain that male abortions weren't actually performed like that. Raising his shirt, Naruto looked down at the incision and grimaced. Already it looked infected, which made Naruto wonder if the demon was going to bother healing him.

"No, I am not." Kurama stated. "You had my kit murdered, just because of a few people's opinions."

"I had no choice." Naruto murmured. "They weren't going to let me keep the child." Kurama didn't bother replying and Naruto knew that he was super pissed at him. Even as he sat there, guilt at his actions was starting to eat at him. How could people live with themselves after doing this? Naruto couldn't stand the guilt. Laying back on the bed, Naruto closed his eyes, too exhausted to stay awake anymore.

"Mommy! I loved you!" A black haired child came running towards him. "And you killed me? Why didn't I deserve the chance to live? Why didn't you want me?" Naruto grimaced as he watched as blood began to pour from the child's skin.

"I didn't want this to happen." Naruto cried out. "I had no choice, I had no control over what was going to happen after you were born."

"You could have run away!" the child said. "You didn't have to murder me! now you will have to pay!"

Naruto shot up in his bed, crying out in pain as he pulled at the stitches. He could feel the heat radiating from the wound through his shirt. He could hear someone pounding on the door, but Naruto didn't think he would be able to get up. Moaning as his stomach twisted violently Naruto leaned forward and vomited on the floor, he was mildly disturbed to see blood instead of vomit.

"Naruto?" He heard Iruka's voice call from the doorway. Are you home?" he had felt guilty about the way he had left things at the clinic and he hoped to be able to make it up to Naruto.

"Bedroom." Naruto called out feverishly, he wasn't feeling well at all.

"Tsunade said you went out of town." Iruka said as he headed down the hall and entered Naruto's bedroom. He was shocked to find a pale, sweaty Naruto leaning over his bed and vomiting blood onto the floor.

"Naruto!" Iruka called out alarmed at the sight of his former student's condition. He didn't know how Naruto had ended up in such a condition but he knew something was wrong.

"Something's wrong Sensei." Naruto whimpered. "I don't think he done the abortion right." Iruka grimaced and wondered if Naruto had really gone through with an abortion.

"I'm going to take you to the hospital." Iruka said as he leaned down and lifted the pale and sweaty Naruto into his arms. Naruto crying out in pain as he done so. "Lady Tsunade is going to fix you up." Iruka promised. Iruka was alarmed at how feverish Naruto felt, something was certainly not right.

Ten Minutes later Iruka was standing beside the bed as Tsunade was examing Naruto's incision.

"What the hell did you do to yourself?" Tsunade demanded as Naruto leaned forward and vomited again.

"I had an abortion." Naruto whimpered, agony filling his voice.

"Clearly whomever you went to wasn't an actual doctor, your incision is infected and you likely have internal bleeding." Tsunade said. "I'm going to need to get you into surgery to fix that bleed. You are going to be a miserable little boy for a little while."

Once Naruto had been taken in surgery, Iruka shook his head.

"I didn't think he would go through with it. He must have been so scared and in so much pain."

"Whomever performed the abortion, I'm going to make sure I get there. medical license stripped. They have no business performing such operations, especially since a part of the fetus was left inside of him."

"What does that mean? It couldn't be alive right?" Iruka asked.

"No. it was dead, but it would have kept making Naruto sick until he got it completely removed." Tsunade said. "I wish we hadn't made Naruto feel like he had to go to such extremes alone. Perhaps we could have saved him some pain."

"How long is it going to take him to recvoer?" Iruka asked.

"It depends on whether the nine tails wants to heal him or not." Tsunade replied. "otherwise he's not going to be doing any missions for a while, and he's going to need some help while he's recovering."

"He can stay with me." Iruka stated. "It's mostly my fault that he went that route anyways. Maybe if I had given him a little more support we wouldn't be here right now."

"I can't imagine how this is going to effect him mentally. He's only a child himself." Tsunade murmured. "He's going to need a lot of help." There was no dount about that, Iruka was determined to be better support than he had been earlier
